How many races can you honestly get out of a set of F53s and still be able to run competitively for wins?

And this is my opinion......2 races with proper tire management and not burning them up. Honestly. I will say that I will give the benefit of doubt to these 750's.......but It has to be proven to me that I cant bolt on a new set compared to 60 lap set and gain 2 tenths......The 8 can tell you more about them.....I'm a skeptic still

I am pretty familiar with the 750, the Dare Stocks are on them at Stafford and the kid who just won there Friday had 4 races, 4 heats and 8 practices on them. The point leader and 2 others had a brand new set of 4 750s on and he was able to hold those 3 off. Their longevity is not a myth. If your car is handling like crap, of course you will blow through tires.

Hey Phil. Out of curiosity, what would a track up your way do if a group of drivers said "either you have us run dem here tars, or we ain't a comin"?

No, in fact it is not, but I am comparing new to used. I would assume you guys would get 3 races on these tires. Most guys here are running them 5 or 6 weeks right now with the dare stocks with close to 400hp in a 3200lb car.

I will say this. I have a set of 970s (similar compound) that I ran back in 2013 on my outlaw late model car which makes north of 600 horse. I ran these tires on 7" wheels and was lighting them up bad off the corners and I would have no problem running them again even after they have sat for 2 years and hardened. They held up that well

It's apples to oranges I understand, but by comparison new to old don't really fall off a ton. It's a pretty solid tire.

Another question, what negative have you heard from those running the 750R? I am truly curious to see if there has been negative chatter for you OWM guys. I haven't seen anything here and don't know many OWM guys there.

Track would laugh and say see ya! It happened already.

Gonna clear something up. I called Hoosier in Indiana directly. The F53 is on production hold ONLY due to overstock. Not discontinued as some local distributors may be saying.

I have nothing negative to say about them AT ALL. Although I've only raced on them once, and it was at Auburndale (which isn't the raceist track around) I feel that they have great potential.

I got in the lead at about the half way mark and had to try to run away from Josh Todd, so I was putting some pretty hard laps on them, and they held up. I was a supporter of the F-53 in the beginning, but it was mainly because there was nothing wrong with them, and I didn't know what the R750 was going to be.

...well now I know, and now it looks as if Showtime is going to be the only track in the state on the F-53's. With that being said, I think Showtime needs to jump ship and go to the R750 because it will be better for all racers and tracks together.

In my opinion, Showtime will suffer with some car counts after a few races and will reconsider their tire rule.

Me Doug? I always ran whatever they said I was running. I just wanted to race. But then again, I didn't run an OWM. Not by a long shot. I just want to see tracks succeed and good racing. I can guarantee you that the tracks aren't getting rich off this if its true. Just trying to keep afloat I'm sure. At the end of the day, I'm sure Matt Albee will have the answer that will set us in the right direction.

I think it is deplorable that someone (I have an idea who) would lie to you OWM guys to get you to agree to switch to the R750. The R750 is a great tire in it's own right. The results speak for themselves. No need to lie to get you to switch.

I apologize to Robert Yoho for my comments regarding him stockpiling F53's. If you guys want 'em (and since they truly are available) then I say let you guys run what you want.

I just have a hunch due to past experience, but if someone has the skinny on who started the "F53 being discontinued" rumor then feel free to out them. Whoever it was is an enemy to the Florida Asphalt scene by the detriment of their actions.
