Doug, you may find it reassuring that in Devin's race report from Adale that his qualifying time on the R750 was FASTER than the last time he was there on the F53.
Man, I don't want to even open up this can of worms. But just like Sportsman, OWM have the right to be on the tire they want to be on. There is a new Hoosier slick that, imo, has to be made of the same "super rubber" that the R750 is comprised of. It was tested at Stafford Motor Speedway in CT (fairly flat fast half mile) on 3000 lb Sportsman-type cars. According to Philthy Phil it supposedly didn't fall off after hundreds of laps (Philthy can volunteer more data). It is called.....wait for it.....the Hoosier 2040. Maybe this tire can be the happy medium for everyone. An 8" slick with a ton of bite but the longevity the low buckers and tracks want. Is it the answer? I dunno. Am I just creating more sh*t? Not trying to. But the best decisions are made with the most thorough information. Maybe you guys should ask about it, Doug.
