Maybe he didn't want to adopt a dog with fleas. Maybe he told them what it would take to get it going and was told no. may as well leave while you're ahead.

Years have been spend letting the show there deteriorate. It won't just come back overnight.

As far as racers......go race other track, have a good time and try the place out again when it has a definite future.

I believe Benny is right. Weather we like as drivers want to admit it or not if the purse isnt there cars arnt gonna show up. The new GM supposedly wanted to raise purse for the four lowest classes, witch are 75% of the car count. Then more would show up, they bring people witch everyone talks about then ending with hopefully more spectators. Auburndale,Citrus the closest to us are almost paying double what Fascar is wanting to do. And it the only real difference I see. I say we need to do what everyone else is doin cause it seems to be working fo them.

yea well this is the worse this track has ever been ran yet. things may not have been that great in the past but when Mr hart had it. and Butch and Barbara ran it we never had all this BS. and we always new what was going on for the most part . well I wonder if the aug 3 race is still on or do we get a refund .

Why doesn't Ozzie just come out and say the place is closed and quit getting everyone's hopes up. That is the only place I want to race. Was planning on getting my Modified together when I get back.

THey can't officially close the track or they will lose their noise ordinance grandfatherd clause. I hope he is making money on the drag racing side because he got hoodwinked on the OSW side

At this point I think they really don't care. I heard he really just wanted the Drag Strip anyway. The Drag Strip should cover the noise oridinance issue anyway.

Since they had announced that they were going to Saturday nights, we were getting excited and was working more on the race car to get it ready. It would make it easier for us to get out with my husband's work schedule to race. Now, I guess we will be back checking out other tracks.

Sad to see this happening to a track so close to us. Whoever is the one in charge needs to come out and tell the truth to the drivers, car owners and fans on what is really going on.
