If the parts in the 37 transmission were just copies of parts in most of TH350's then what did the parts look like in the transmission that was in the 41? No dog in the fight just curious.

        More DQ info

A little more info on the DQs by Mr. Green...

A person affiliated with the 14 truck was told before any racing began by Mr. Green that he would find something to DQ it for. He indicated that it had an illegal engine (perhaps because his daughter ran it in the past with that illegal engine). Apparently, the owner knew that the engine was illegal and pulled it and replaced it with a legal engine, and was waiting for Mr. Green to make a fool of himself in tech. Also, it was apparent that the ride height was right on the money and Mr. Green made it a point to insert the measuring piece in such a way as to make it appear to be too low. It makes you wonder why Mr. Green seems to pick and choose who to let slip through tech and who Mr. Green wants out for unknown reasons. I think that Mr. Bristol should take a close look at his tech inspector, especially in a "Charity" race, so that it doesn't seem that tech is doing its job to favor some (perhaps his daughter who runs the race) and not others.

        Interesting. . . .

The part shown in the picture was never used in "most of TH350's". Like I said earlier I have never seen a hub like that in any 250/350 in all the years i've done transmissions. I have even spoke to many people I know in the trans business since then and they have said the same thing, never seen a hub like that.

No "bullshit" intended in the earlier post. Just stating info so it is clear. Mr. Green had an engine built for his daughter to use. It was illegal and he knew it. Interesting, but knowing it was illegal he let it run anyway. Now...new year, new driver and owner of the truck...AND new engine. Mr. Green announced prior to any racing that he was planning to DQ the 14 truck, perhaps assuming it had his illegal engine. I guess he had to find something to DQ it for because he couldn't do it on the engine. The point is that Mr. Green, the tech man, allows his own daughter to run in a series that he is tech-ing, and knows the stuff is illegal. I say conflict of interest and picking and choosing who he throws out.

I know that some of you have heard me say that I have a picture in my head of ........

Well I'm sure someone like EZ could give us a real picture of that flag. What do you think a BULLSHIT flag should look? Is it just a brown flag or maybe like the meatball flag but different?????

What ever it is it needs to be thrown on this hole topic. The manufacture said he modified the part. Tech said that there was many modified parts. The rules say NO Modifications. What's the problem.

It is kind of stupid. The manufacture said they took a much heavier stock part and modified it, drilled it, and lightened it until it was as light as a stock part out of a different type of vehicle. None of that is legal. Where is that BS flag?

Before any of you jump on me. I had a couple of Fastrucks. I had JW in them. That JW tranny could have been legal at many different races under different rules. BUT. It wasn't legal under these rules. I race all over the country in all different kind of series. YOU better know what the rules are. And YOU better know what is in your car. If you don't know what is in your car and you get busted for parts that you say that you " didn't know those parts were in there" and the parts are illegal. WELL GUESS WHAT!!!! You don't get the check. You won't see my showing up to a race and spending my money with illegal parts in my car. You will be better off giving the money to charity.LOL

Vantage. This is no different than the tranny in my super. If I had taken it to an Fups race and got dq'ed in tech should I be crying like you and say. These trannies are legal everywhere. They were even legal last year in the FAST Series so they should be legal here. WELL GUESS WHAT!!! They aint legal in FUPS just like your tranny at that race.

They might have won the race on the track but they lost it in tech. Put on your big boy britches and get over it. You ain't making them look any better. They need to put legal parts in their truck and show that they can win legally.

DD38 that is what I was wondering because if that was the case then the other transmissions tore apart would have more than likely looked just like the one that was DQ'ed.

Racefan. What kind of announcement was that? Over the speakers or was it in the drivers meeting. I had people in the race and they said they heard nothing.

59, Just curious. What kind of trans do you have? Didn't know they had a particular trans you had to run in the F-UP Series series. Do they have a SPEC trans?

DD, I got a Brinn. BID DEAL right. I got a freaking Brinn and one of the "United" guys "don't like them things" so they ain't legal. I usually run my crate car and just about every set of rules in the country even the FAST series rules say "crate engine teams may run their transmission rules with no weight penalty". No big deal. But not in FUPS.

Just that one sentence was left out of the rules and it made my ASA car and a lot of other crate cars illegal. Just like the rules for that truck race. Just a couple of words add or left can make somebody's car or truck illegal. Words like " no modifications". That is why you need to know what it is YOUR car and YOU need to know and more importantly understand the rules.

I don't believe the techman would tell someone before the race that they were gonna be dq'd.

I ran the bobby deihl Fasttruck series from 2004-2007. iIn 2007 the head tech officials were Ronnie Sims and Gary mcfall and Carl Green was the official motor re-sealer with his lead seals that said cg on them. Early in that season motors were torn apart after a race at c.c.s. C.c. on the heads were checked, cams specs were checked, cylinder bore, and rocker arm ratio. All motors were found to be legal i belive that the trucks were joey coulter levi hobs and travis roland.. About 4 races later the tech officials said they wanted to take the top end of the motors apart again. I belive the trucks in this go around were joey coulter j.r. garcia and george gorham.j.r. garcia's motor had Carl Green seals on it and said the reason for that motor having his seals on it was because it droped a valve eralier in the season and had to get rebuilt and that Carl had watched and inspected each part going into the motor. After all this tech didnt want to take motors apart. Well after some arguing and name calling tech went on with tearing motors apart again. 2 weeks later the results from the tech inspection and the cam that was in garcias motor was found to be illegal. So yes it seems that Mr.Green is a lil shady and likes to use his authorized power to his advantage yes it seems to be that. Now yes i saw the owner of the #14 truck and another gentleman with that truck in conversation with carl green a few times throught the night. Now yes the rumors of the night were that Carl said he was gonna throw them out for something and implied that he was gonna bust them on the motor cuz he had "pictures" of the illegal parts in the motor. Now was this outa jealousy cuz Jessica green use to drive this truck and couldnt run better than about 8th on any given night? Or was it because that Michael burns"s lil sister Kelli burns had won 7 races this year and p.g.s. in the rookie truck division in only her 2nd year of driving trucks while jessica has been racing trucks since 05-06 without a win yet? Nobody will ever know the truth on any these events that has happened. Yes the dq on the #37 was a bit shady because of how the rule book was written and numerous amount of parts that are availble to the racers now. The dq on the #63 seems shady also was it because doc door slammed Carls daughter after she had ran him all over the track for few laps hhmmm? yes it seems to be a conflict on interest having the tech man having a racecar in the race. Im sure nothing will change for next years race and the same tech line up will all be the same since its all for "charity".
