This thread is starting to take a turn down another road. The topic is weather of not the Fups rules are equal for all three motors. The Pro late model / crate class is probably the biggest late model class in the south east with out a dought. Most teams can't afford to run a super. That is why the super count is so much lower than the pro late models in the south east. Most big races are pro late model rules. No super motors allowed.
The problem is that the they took the pro late model rules and tried to add in the super late model motors. The super have never run in the pro late model division. Only the limiteds. They allowed them but they did not handicap them enough to make it fair for the pro late models. Now the supers are killing the pro late model division in Florida. A super can't run in the pro division anywhere else in the country. The rules just need a little adjustment or maybe they should just make the supers stand on their own. I think they should try the left side weight adjustment. It free. If not put the PASS rules in place and let the supers stand alone. I think if they change the weight rules you would see more cars. There is two more cars on this thread alone that said they will come. How many more are not on here. I know of several more.
Would it really make a difference to the fans in the stand if the supers carried 3 percent less left side weight and at the end of the race you have a crate battling a super for the win with crates, supers, and limiteds all in the top five???
Or just buy a ticket and shut your mouth and watch the same two supers win every race every year. Year after year and watch the field dwindel down to the same few supers that show up to the big races and make up that big 12-16 car field. What do you think?????
