This thread is starting to take a turn down another road. The topic is weather of not the Fups rules are equal for all three motors. The Pro late model / crate class is probably the biggest late model class in the south east with out a dought. Most teams can't afford to run a super. That is why the super count is so much lower than the pro late models in the south east. Most big races are pro late model rules. No super motors allowed.

The problem is that the they took the pro late model rules and tried to add in the super late model motors. The super have never run in the pro late model division. Only the limiteds. They allowed them but they did not handicap them enough to make it fair for the pro late models. Now the supers are killing the pro late model division in Florida. A super can't run in the pro division anywhere else in the country. The rules just need a little adjustment or maybe they should just make the supers stand on their own. I think they should try the left side weight adjustment. It free. If not put the PASS rules in place and let the supers stand alone. I think if they change the weight rules you would see more cars. There is two more cars on this thread alone that said they will come. How many more are not on here. I know of several more.

Would it really make a difference to the fans in the stand if the supers carried 3 percent less left side weight and at the end of the race you have a crate battling a super for the win with crates, supers, and limiteds all in the top five???

Or just buy a ticket and shut your mouth and watch the same two supers win every race every year. Year after year and watch the field dwindel down to the same few supers that show up to the big races and make up that big 12-16 car field. What do you think?????

Rob. I know what you mean. That is why I replied back. To try and keep it on the topic at hand. It is the same topic that Boneman brought up on the first reply to Kim's post. It has been constructive. You are the first person to not posting something constructive. Do you have anything constructive to add it? You took time to post. You got any thoughts on the subject or what?

This is why I don't come on here and post, all I was trying to do is remind you that Kim started this to thank everyone for coming out and then it turned into something else. Yes I have thoughts about the topic but I will not come on here and talk about if you would like to call me that would be fine we can talk.

            Thanks Rob

If someone can answer this question I will be happy...If LLM's and Crate/Pro LM's run the same/similar times with the standard rules (which is the Crate cars weighing 100-200 lbs less), then how can a crate car be competitive if you make them the same weight which is what FUPS did. I think thats the whole point here is that maybe the rules are fair for a limited but not a crate late model. I don't have a problem with it either way, its their series and they can make the rules whatever they want, I'm just saying I won't show up for the races because if you took highschool physics it does not make sense.

Lets say object "A" (PLM) weighs 2750lbs and object "B" (LLM) weighs 2850lbs. Both objects can travel at 100mph maximum speed (I'm making it very basic). Now remove 150 lbs from object "B" (LLM) making it the same weight as object "A". Object "B" (LLM) now has a maximum speed of 105mph. Can object "A" (PLM) win if they raced. Ok the answer is maybe because there are so many other factors in racing...but if you look at the very basics of it object "A" (PLM) is at a disadvantage.

The point of the series is to make all three classes equal so they can run together and be competitive. I think they did that for the limiteds but not for the crates because of the reason above. Mr South while I do agree about the left side percentage...it appears the Supers and Limited can be competitive together (someone correct me if I'm wrong about that but I thought I read on here the 36 won in a limited so I guess this is correct) so I would not want to change that. I just think there should be a weight break for the crates, maybe 2650. Or maybe put one of the front runners in a Pro Late Model and see if they can win and I will shut up. I remember someone posting on here that they were amazed a crate car came in 7th at one of the early races in the series and was convinced they were cheating and said the motor should be torn down and teched...7th? Really? If the point is that a crate car should be able to beat a super if set up and driven correctly why would someone be shocked that one came in 7th?

Rob. I can understand why you would not want to post on here. I don't blame you. At the beginning of this topic I said I didn't know if this was the right place to reply to this but I would give it a shot. Nobody said anything back than or I would have started a new thread. No big deal. But I would like to here your views on the topic. I looked on your profile but no phone number. You could pm me with it or just call me. My number is on my profile.

MJM10. are we the only ones that took physics. Your numbers are a little messed up. Before the Fups rules the limiteds 2950 and 56 left. Now they weight 2700 and 58 left. They gave them a big break. But did nothing for the crates. They even took our trannys. That already cost me 3 grand. I am pretty sure if they just lowered the left side on the super to 55 everybody would be close. I think the llm would have a little advantage. But that could easily fixed with a little left side adjust. It is not a rule change. It is a weight adjustment. That all.

As for a limited winning a race. I think Don said that. And you said it best to Don. "Don, you are wrong". And he was wrong. A limited ran a close second. I would do some research before I believe what he says. He says what ever he thinks he wants to make his "story" sound good. I guess you call that fiction.

If you do the math for the hp to weight ratio. Both supers and crates cars being equal which they are. Both cars with same left side weight which they are. The math says the super should weight more than 500 lbs heavier than a crate. That is not the case. Supers only weight 150 lbs heavier with the same left side weight. The crate is at a big disadvantage. A super has won every race. It is time for a change.

I though about it and he is right ..I dont have a horse in the race and your not going to learn without burning your self on the fire. HEE HEE go ahead fix them rules 2 or 3 more times this year . Your right ...now that was my last post about this if you will drop it...
                      Have a nice day

Easy Tuna, everything is OK. There is only one guy around here that ain't calm. So don't worry about him. Rob was talking to me. He wanted me to call him but I didn't have his number. I told him where to get mine so he could give me a call. It is hard to put in type what is going on with these rules and he explained to me why the Fups rules make it difficult for him to run his llm at his local track and run with the Fups.

I guess with allowing the supers to run with crates and the limiteds there is more crates and limited sitting on stands out there than there are supers running in the series. The crates and limited have run together for years. But when they throw in the super motors in and not handicap them enough it is causing big problem. It is an easy fix. Believe me when I say that I am not the only one who will not haul to a race because the rules dictate that what type of engine will win the race.

Don. You sits there behind your computer screen and say "Hee Hee go ahead fix them rules 2 or 3 more times this year". Still making this crap up. Are ya. The rules have never been changed since Fups started. If they don't do something soon they won't have to worry about it. They will have them same 5 supers that win every race. I don't have to win every race but I at least have to have a shot on paper. Glad you got that in before your last post towards me. Now don't go run around the corner and start crap about me again and we won't have any problem young man. Capes' !!!!
