Will there be a weight break (or etc) to provide an incentive for Showtime cars to pull over to New Smyrna for large (or regular) events?
I just recieved my new front end geometry software. We are going to work real hard to see what we can do with the stock clips.........roll center, jacking weights, moment of center and anti/pro dive. Cant forget bump and center of gravity. It will also let us simulate other geometry by simply changing measurements. Gotta be educated ! work hard ! and not whine....lol

      You are The Man.

Good luck and hope you get to weld something soon.

A bent race car or one missing the front clip is a sad thing.

Just put a fabricated clip on our sportsman. Hope this isn't an issue at speedweeks.

I know everyone doesnt come on here and most that do dont post.....But you should look at Rickys measurements and ensure you have whats he is asking for. I would probably call him.I dont know if its even an issue in your class. I imagine he can help

I can not believe that Ricky did not know what they did with these rules. It looks like the AMF fab clip is what the rules were written for. Locking out all others trying to use the Impala geometry.

We need one set of rules or no Fab clips. I hope the other track owners read this post and get this straightened out.

The measurement should be 18" at the hole in frame at front and 28 1/2" at the rear holes, this will put these point were the impala lower points are.

Need to stop playing games with this rule.
You are dead on with this statement. i was told and its just heresay that ricky is the Techman at A dale and Desoto for the 6 pack series. I sure hope that he leaves his NSS rules on the other coast. I measured my bone stock clip and the front lower mount holes are indeed 18"

Has anyone seen any rules for A dale?

Ricky why did you not just answer the question, you put it back on Cope. Just answer the question that why it was asked of Kim. Real simple is it legal at NSS.

It may be a dead horse, but it is a dumb dead horse, and one worth beating, imo.

My current understanding is that the Impala Clip is legal at Showtime, the Camaro clip is not.

Further, the Camaro clip is legal at NSS, the Impala...may not be.

And then there is Doug, just a guy spending his money and trying to put his car back together.

I will be driving to Showtime to watch him run it when he is done.

We have a 2008 Ellis chassis, chevelle front clip and just did all measurement to find roll center, our clip is 17" front and 27" rear and front bottom holes are 3 1/2" above cross member. I still don't see why fab clips are being allowed, but if they are , they should meet stock clip measurements, be it camaro, chevelle, or impala and add 100# additional weight to front of car. Just saying. Ricky don't make it so difficult
