Desoto name change

I like the name. They had to erase the memory of recent years and start over fresh.

Imagine the commercials you could create "Ask any racer, the action begins at Full Throttle!"

"This Saturday night, the racing is at Full Throttle!"

Of course that also assumes that anyone under the age of 30 knows what the word "throttle" is! Kidding here, I do like the name.

It only moot if coka cola likes it they have an energy drink with the same name, they may have some say in that.

As a historic speedway with a bad reputation of having a lousy owner for several years I would name it something like John is no longer here speedway. Full Throttle isn't too bad, at least they didn't name it something dumb like Bubba.

And Scott, with all due respect (of which you have mine because you have never given me reason not to and you make good posts with valid points), my joke to tccaz was referencing his quip about Coke having issues with the track's new name. My post was if that were the case then the Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis should be taking issue with Coke as they were definitely in business before Coke marketed their energy drink.

Hey OJ! Thanks for the kind words. I get it now. I misunderstood, I took tccaz saying "they (coke) might have a say in that" as him inferring that maybe Desoto's new brass had a sponsorship deal with "Full Throttle" (the only reason that it would be a good name, in my book). I should have known that you knew that Full Throttle was a Coke product. DUH! I must have inhaled too much CO during all those yellows and red flags during the FUPS Sportsman feature Saturday night!
