    Very Professional Wayne

Wayne I have know you since you were in your mommy's stomach in the early days of Hialeah with your great driving dad Dickie. You have nothing to be ashamed at. Forget people like that and move on. There is no helping them and no matter what you say, they always think they are right since they own a race track, better yet they finance a race track. Hello wake up people. Look at DeSoto, would never spent another dime there if my son was racing there again, and believe me I NEVER missed a race he was in but one. Your family "The Anderson's" have made and continue to support racing in Florida and I thank you for that. There are not many people that like WINNERs and you should know that of all people. Look at your dad, he is/was one of the BEST drivers out there and people hated him cause he was a WINNER.
Wayne, Keep your head up high..don't look back and Keep the Faith that you are a great racer and try your hardest for the Florida drivers to have a series and places to race. Thank You and drive Safe and have FUN...
Joanne p.s. ha remember the fights your dad were in at Hialeah, smart man..never took off his helmet LoL!! gotta love it :-)

        Race Track Promoter or Boxer?

I received a call from Rex guy this morning, not once but twice while celebrating my daughter's birthday. I kicked him to voice mail and called him back once my family business was concluded. No sooner had he answered the phone he began telling me " I did't know what I was talking about" and "how dare I bash his track or other race tracks" I simply stated that I knew ALL the facts surrounding this ordeal and lack of communication from one party to the next was the main issue, but him in turn being a total DICK about the deal and allowing personal agenda to get in the way of right and wrong was worse. Like a cock roach scrambling when the lights come on, he immediately began threatning to "whip my a$$" if I ever returned to his track" and became irate with me. He doesn't have to worry about me EVER spending another dime at his facilty and I am sure MANY others feel the same way after this ordeal. There are decent tracks that appreciate your business and will treat you with respect and fairness. The truth HURTS sometimes I guess. What kind of a track of owner calls up people that do not agree with a fellow driver getting the shaft and cusses them out and threatens them? If he was really concerned about the reputation of his speedway he would conduct his affairs in a manner that was fair and unbiased. From what I understand he also called the gentlemen who owns the 77 and his wife answered the phone and he gave her an ear full as well! Tom, if you would like to validate this claim, please feel free. That really shows what kind of a person we are dealing with here. This type of under the table dealing affects us ALL and it doesn't matter if you have a Hornet or a Super Late Model. The personal vendettas from track managment are BS and the drivers need to stick together and put a stop to it. The solution is very simple. Take your money elsewhere.

It was a Progressive Engine with Byron Koury seals who is not an approved engine builder for the Florida United Promoters Series. To solve the problem, tech (not me) asked for the motor to be pulled and shipped Monday morning to Progressive Engines at NO COST to the car owner. If were to be found legal it would have been put back together at NO COST again to the owner and returned. If found illegal then the owner would be responsible for the motor. FASCAR had approved the Byron Koury motors however FASCAR is not FUPS. For $5,000 any racer with any common sense would have pulled that motor and had it shipped if they knew it to be legal. As far as these motors running the FUPS races, evidently Rusty Crews, the tech must have not been checking whether or not these cars were running these motors. No where in the FUPS rules does it state these motors are legal. I along with Kelly Hosch wrote the rules and had them approved with the other promoters. FASCAR series has nothing to do with FUPS. Wayne, the reason we discontinued the FAST series at Auburndale because you didn't want the rules to apply to you. If you hadn't have raced in that series, it would have lasted and been very successful, but why would racers want to race a series where all the advantages went to you. After the FAST race at Auburndale, I went to the meeting with all the FAST officials. I was told that Kevin Ingram would not be allowed to race at any FAST series race and that Wayne would not be on probation or suspended for a race (as every other driver would have been) and this is why your series was not successful because the drivers knew that you would have unfair advantages over them in these races. You should have been suspended but you wouldn't abide by the rules like everyone else would have to. Therefore, Auburndale wants to run an above board series that is fair to every driver. The race this past Saturday was an Auburndale points race with FUPS rules. As far as a personal vendetta, there is none. You were more than welcomed at our track this past weekend and any other weekend that you have been there. We are business people trying to keep a race track alive for all racers. As far as calling me a liar or a thief, open you eyes and look in the mirror. It was stated yesterday that you were sending the motor to Progressive this morning to prove to everyone that it was legal however it hasn't shown up yet. Steve at Progressive told me personally that it was not there and that he had told Tom last week that this motor was not legal for Auburndale or Desoto. Tom told him that "Wayne would get it passed through". Nice try. I'm sorry to be so long winded also. These message boards are only places for people to be hateful and vengeful and it does nothing to promote racing as a positive good thing.

Rex you are so full of SPIT! You have been on here any number of times! I remember anynumber of back and forths with you on here! Next let me ask you if your tech person is looking for things that are wrong with a car and or motor before a race. Why wasn't the driver told the seals were wrong? And if your going to let them race with wrong things that can clearly be seen. Why have a pertech for all cars? If it was missed during the perrace tech Then it SHOULD be passed over in the after race tech also! With the way you run a track you have run off more drivers, pit crews and fans over the years you have owned that track then will be there this weekend.

This is no reflection on Rex or anything that happened. But I had to laugh when you said Rex threatened to kick your a$$!!! Seems thats what you're supposed to do on here, threaten to kick someones butt, especially if you're all beer'd up!! So I wouldn't let that bother me, I think its funny when they threaten me!! LOL Again, this is no reflection on Rex, just the comment.

This is where you are wrong! If it was passed/missed in pre tech that does not by no means make it legal and should never be allowed to pass after race tech if found then!! Ignorance to the rules is no excuse! They knew what they had in their car. They are not fooling anybody by playing dumb. Like I had said before if they were told at pre tech it was ok to run motor the way it was then they have a leg to stand on. I don't believe that was the case. They even had the opportunity to pull the motor and get it checked and refused. Don't know what to say except sorry about their luck. I would have pulled my motor for that kind of money and stayed with it instead of crying on here. Just my opinion!

Maybe they didn't want to pull the engine because maybe there was something there that was not right when exposed. Hummmm.

Where is the unfair advantage? Let me see Ill fix them I ll take out my 600+ hp super spec put in a 500hp limited motor that is a wet sump motor and sits up 2 inches higher ( that sure helps handling) then we will add lead so we weigh the same as those fools running those lower more powerful cars. Then I ll wait in second place most of the race until the leader who's motor is so big it tears up the rear end on the last lap. Wow what a plan.

One more thing. Who the hell cares what motor anyone runs when the spec motor that is allowed is more than you need.

Fair Or Unfair ???? They Should Have Pulled The Motor !

Now We The People Will Never Know ??????

Racing At That Disadvantage With A Wet Sump ( How Long Would It Take To Pull That Motor )

                      Just Asking Thank You

What does any of this have to do with playing by the rules? Rules are rules and they didn't want to play by them so they got DQ'ed. Plain and simple!

If YOU were already disqualified for having the wrong seals, (because that was an unwritten rule for this race not the FUP). Would YOU pull your motor? I think not...You load your car back up and it to a track where it is legal and never look back which they did. Per the FUP series rules at the time of this race, there were NO approved "Florida SPEC motor" builders listed. Was Auburndale the only racetrack in the state of FL ignorant to the Koury motors?

Are we to believe Steve from Progressive called Tom to tell him he wasn't legal at Auburndale and didn't call Rex and inform him of the warning call he made to Tom? For those of you that "were there". When Rex arrived in the tech area did he hesitate to have the seals checked on the 77? Not from what I "have heard" from several sources.

It's alot more fun to think the motor was changed between Sunday morning and Tuesday morning. I have my own opinion of what happened.

All in all the finish is what it is. It is apparent to me this could have easily been handled prior to the beginning of the race. I lost alot of respect for some people I thought highly of in this. I hope this opens the eyes of the people that want to "control" this sport. Racing politics should NEVER effect the outcome of a race.

How is brining less than the maximum allowed cheating anyone. At that track it's not about having the most motor. As far as seals go, please It's a super late model race, all that does is cost the racer that can work on their own car more money or run less than the maximum allowed. The rules are what needs changing. This was the only excitement in the whole race. Open it up a little and It might bring back a little excitement into it for the racers and the fans.
