OK, if the CRA doesn't come back to Speedfest that will drop the car count by....4 cars? And those cars will still come to be a part of Speedfest not because of the CRA. The PASS Series brought 10 without it being a PASS sanctioned race.

Let's go with your compliment that the FL spec motor does have 645 hp. Your a little low on the price, it's $16,500 plus tax. All the racers are CHOOSING to take out their 580-650hp $30-40,000+ engines because of this? I really don't see how this is spinning late model racing out of control. If this program saves race teams an average of $14,000 per motor, who would give a damn if Nerone made $16,499 on every motor sold? I want to see someones proof (not speculation) that Don or FASCAR has made a penny off the sale of one FL spec motor. Some people seem to know this for a fact, let them back it up.

And here we go with the chip again. Try this out. This past weekend the cars that finished 1st and 2nd at Lakeland were FL spec motors. But wait, they also had to run a 2 barrel carb, add 200lbs........and a chip. Keep looking for another excuse, that one didn't work out so well.

Congratulations to Tim And Jeff, while the motors did their job, skill and talent are what made the results what they were, not motors.

        7400rpm chip.

To make sure that everyone understands what did happen, those two cars are the ONLY cars that were required to run a chip and the only cars to be required to add an additional 100lbs and it did not change the outcome of the event. Be proud of them they dominated in spite of this. There were other FL spec motors in the field that did not have to adhere to these limitations. Chip them or don't chip them. FOCUS!

R.J. is supposed to be on the show tonight so I would like to ask the 1st round of questions. 1)Why this S.E.A.L. Alliance? 2) Who gets the roughly $2000 in extra profit that is made off of the "their" spec motors. 3) Why the Alliance? 4) Why do you sell a motor built with cheaper parts for the same as the FL spec motor? 5) Why the Alliance? 6) Why do you require "your" spec motor that already has less horsepower than its steel head and 9:1 competition to be chipped? 7) Why the Alliance? He's had weeks to take notes, call for opinions, choose his words and write out his statements. Come on little man. Let's here it.

I don't know much about motors, specs or regulations, but I do know there's been a LOT of talk about some sort of new configuration one of the drivers has secretly been testing.

Somebody snuck some pictures, but apparently, it's nothing to get all wound up about.....

Not only are you getting a 50lb weight break but, your running ALUMINUM heads. Hmmmm. Wonder how much of a weight break is that compared to a STEEL head motor.

the aluminum heads aren't an additional weight break for the car.

all it means is that there's an additional 50-100lbs of lead in the car. which is a little bit of an advantage over an iron head engine because it will be lower and you can move it around where you want it but that's not equivalent to a 50lb weight break.
