As far as combining classes goes...everyone needs to listen here, wether it be in 5, 10, 15, or 20 years, the clip and full frame cars are gone...There will only be built chassis. There will come a day when there are 6 classes tops at any racetrack. ABC Bodied Late Models, Outlaw bodied sportsman, Trucks, Modifieds, Mini Stocks, and (?) the stock/bomber class.

Now is the time for the FL promoters to recognize this and begin to put in motion the subtle (NOT OBSOLETING) changes that head this thing in the inevitable direction.

Hell they have a set of series rule that combined 3 different late models that have 200hp difference! They can't do the rest? They can, and it will help them all, but it doesn't have the same motivation that the late models had (wink, wink)...just sayin. I hope they suprise us all.

Stolen from a friend of mine "At the end of each day, everyone chooses to see and hear what they want. You can twist perception, but reality won't budge."

I have tried to help from the inside out, but their ego got in the way of common sense.....so I'm giving everything I have for free.....which is what I was asked to do.....but only 1 person was allowed to access it.....but (because I'm such an awful negotiator), I quit, and now I'm giving it to EVERYONE for free.....cause I got a lil ego too...

That is the obvious. I mean, are there any full frame cars built today? I don't know. Mercury is gone altogether, Ford Crown Vic is gone so the time is coming when there wont be any fullframe cars in the junk yards. Pretty rediculus theyre building some of them on 20-30 yr old frames now.

Tim, you quit what? You had some sort of sales position in FASCAR, is that what you are referring to?

I had a conversation with Eddie Brann a few years ago where i said something very similar about the clip cars disappearing in years to come . He said that wouldn't happen ever , because there were still millions of front clips in salvage yards waiting to be used . Then he pointed to a stack of 10 or so right outside the shop ready to be used . And he said you'd have a very difficult time coming up with a more cost effective approach to building circle track cars than using a clip . Now i happen to think that the technology needs to advance too , but i wouldn't count on the clip chassis going away .
Regarding the 4 cyl. spec motor with a CARB , why bother ? New import engines are available in the tens of millions , cars haven't come from the factory with carbs in decades , and it's time for short track stock car racing to be dragged kicking and screaming into the 20 th century . Might as well start with the mini and modified mini .
Fuel injection and electronic engine components are here to stay . Have been for many years . Even NASCAR is finally going to fuel injection .

Don't forget the "club" cars Legends, Banolero's, Pro Challenge, Mod Lite, Open Wheel Lite, Allison Legacy, Mini Cup etc etc

I was told earlier this year that Pro Challenge was coming out with a new car, slightly larger chassis with a crate motor. Sounds scary fast, not sure where they are at with that project.

Rex, I'm not going to spread FASCAR in a bad light here, I have tried to be fair and keep this constructive and productive. At the same time I made my statement to clarify why I was on here and not working in the industry. I haven't downed anyones ideas, cause at this point everyones has merit. I have tried to give you and everyone else the flags they would raise with the promoters. Mike C has some great points as do you! But there is a gap of mentality that a bridge has to be built to cover....thats all I'm trying to do. THEY ALL READ THIS....SO MAKE YOUR OPINION BE HEARD....

So in response Rex, I never told you what I was hired to do at FASCAR as you identified them, and as far as i know, you and I never even remotely had that conversation nor were my job responsibilities published publicly, so quit reading your PM's and stick with the solution.

Understand something, we are talking at a level of common sense here that they can't grasp...They are up to their elbows in alligators....but this is in print...and archived and they can always come back to it...THATS why it is important to voice your opinion. In this business I have often searched Karnac to see opinions....Did it make my decision..NO...but I saw everyone elses...and it did weigh in with a vote on my decision.

                      Ahhhh.....what?

I don't usually feel completely confused by a thread on here, but today it is like I missed a bunch of responses or something. Tim, you have totally lost me. I didn't understand what you meant when you said "I quit, and now I'm giving it to EVERYONE for free", and I guarantee I don't understand anything in your follow ups.

I am a reasonable guy, so please feel free to straighten me out in person. Maybe then I'll be able to follow along. Just remember to talk slow and use short words.
