A lot of my old photos are of people, not as much of the cars. Like Trickle working on his car, Mike Miller joking with folks, Mark Martin and Banjo Grimm working on the car, Junior Hanley talking to people, Larry Detgens walking around, a lot of stuff like that. Someday I'll gather them all together and scan them, and post.Originally posted by JD99 View PostHeck, Mike, I know you have a great stash of short track racers from the 80's. Start postin' dude.

Let's liven this tread back up again...
Since it's the "All-Star" weekend...LOL...
1) Where was the only All-Star race held NOT at Charlotte Motor Speedway, what year, and who won it?
2) What driver won the last race in NASCAR's Convertible division in 1961?
3) Besides all of the rules infractions, What was most unique about Smokey Yunick's Chevelle he took to Daytona in 1967?
4) Why did Richard Petty's team decide to run a "vinyl" top on their '67 Belvedere at Daytona?
5) Who piloted this car, what year, and where?

CloseOriginally posted by Gary J View Post#3 . Smokey Yunick Chevelle was like 9/10 the scale of real Chevelle. Think he had an experimental factory engine from Chevy never seen before.
It was 15/16ths scale, and it had a spoiler lip molded into the rear of the roof. That "experimental motor" was actually in '63, not '67, and it wasn't Smokey's car. It was Banjo Matthews and Junior Johnson was driving.
How 'bout the rest?
