hey tuna. thanks for the reply. Jeff was probably driving at that time at nss, im the crew chief, chassisguy, fabricator, driver. OSW was my home track for a while when i was driving sportsman, and llm goodyear series. I usually dont get to drive the car at nss, thats jeffs baby, so he let me go have some fun at O town. It was about the 6 th or 7th lap of the race that they shortened to 30. I gave him alll the room he needed to avoid this issue and as i said before it was no rub! my left side door peeled open from just at the left rear tire to the nose piece. And yes its pretty bad to look at and we are going to fix it! It will be show quality once again! Alot of people look at the car and say big money, its just hard work and dedication, with some skill to make her the way she is!

      Kas

dont you just love when people ASSUME someone has alot of money? ticks me off and even if its true its no ones business... there are some big time racers parked now because they have lost their sponsors. people who everyone thinks have an unlimited amount of funds!
in most cases its simply very hard work and total dedication to the sport... Good luck...

Kasey I feel your pain but unfortunately it is part of racing. Inverts are a must in short track racing especially with low car counts.....and sometimes you get wrecked.......and sometimes you have to fix em.......and please don't refer to straight up as a racer......he is the only guy that brings a car to the track but doesn't unload it because of who showed up to race.......

Straight Up.....if they implemented a minimum speed rule you would be the first one parked.......

It sounded like you said this happened after 3 laps of you using patience, was it on the 3rd or 4th lap it happened or 3-4 laps after you caught him? Rob, here's a chance for you to bash me if you want, i don't care. But like I said, I gave you credit, you're a good driver, but I have seen you lack patience, big time. One night at NSS on lap 2, turn 2 I told my wife and brother "Watch the 3 run over that car in front of him. You did, turn 3 on that very same lap. Lap 2!! You both were towards the front, Rob, thats not patience, you need to learn to be more patient. I mentioned this to one of the posters in this thread at the time and he said, "Yes he did but we were all glad he did that to the guy he did it to." So to some it seems it matters who its doing it to whom. Calm down Rob, repair your car and be a little more patient, oh, calm that temper, it does you no good, look at your car. I know you were racing for big money, right?? If you had been junk would you of rolled over and played dead like you wanted him to???
Rob, you're probably right about the night at NSS. Oh well, just my observation, I just felt like a lot of drivers could use a little more patience, I personall hate seeing people getting hurt and cars screwed up. I do know how much work it is keeping them going. Thanks for understanding my post, and I DO understand your frustration. I see BOTH sides of the coin here, but in the end who knows what is right. Personally I do like an inversion to some degree, but again understand your point as well. As far as the comment by someone that only 17 people in the stands they shouldn't of been worrying about "the show". I remember when I was 18 working for an oil delivery company, one of the drivers got yelled at by a customer, the driver said "to H--- with that guy" Well an older guy that had been working there for yrs said, "I know its hard sometimes, but when we've said to Hell with all but one of the customers, we will kiss him"!! Same here, only 17 people in the stands, someone better start worrying about the show!!!
You're adult response to me gives me more respect to you Rob. Put that chin up, get her running, go back out, race him clean and prove to everyone you're the racer you say you are, and that I believe you are. Hey, tell you what, you go back, shake that guys hand and say "kets go on from here" I know you will feel better and who knows, maybe someone will notice and be interested in helping you out a little sometime. I can tell you from experience, THATS how you get sponsors.

            Inversion debate?????

Well for someone that has raced at nss and osw for 14 years, its amazing how things have changed.I never had a problem with inversions as long as the other drivers had respect(ha ha).I can remember a few that either lost there sense of direction or were just idiots but thats how they want you to play, remember they say this is thier way of entertaining the crowds and they will tell you if you don't like it race somewhere else. Now lets start on the ole sportsman class, leave rules alone for almost 10 years and then lets change everything to accomadate the ones that run away with the show,so now lets go to the 2bbl holley after everyone spent good moey on quads, then do whatever to the bodies and now to top it off lets put some crappy 8in tires on these beasts, why dont they just leave things be,that class use to kick ass and had plenty of cars in the field each week and for speedweeks when they let us run but not anymore.I know all the sportsman drivers enjoyed running against out of state cars over the winter but not anymore,we must be nobody's.lets see what this will get started, and maybe some of these regulars might show back up.Or maybe they just dont care.Remember Ron sportsman 07,hes still here and will be back

No dummy, I don't race! but i pay your big payoff when you do race!! By the way, when are YOU gonna race again?? Oh, if a spectator shouldn't make suggestions why dont someone put up a big gate and keep the "17 spectators" (as Straightup said), anyhow, dont let any spectators in and see how long the show goes on!!!! Hey, when is Volkswagon gonna be in cup???

Care to explain this? You have bitched for months about how you will never help the track, but now you "pay the big payoff". What a phoney!

hey fred , i dont know you but its like this , when you decide to pay my bills and fund my racecars you can comment on what i do . its my money and my buisness not yours . i NEVER claimed to be earnhardt nor would i . i retired from racing 25 plus years ago in upstate ny where tracks were run professionally without the soap opera . not all of us can afford to rebuild a car because some idiot shows up that tears up half the field everytime hes there . (or two drivers are out to kill each other ) . just a old man tryin to have fun when i can afford it . dont have anything to prove to you or anyone else . my money , my time and my buisness not anyone elses . as it says on the side of donny's car D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F.

and as pertaining to the original topic of this post , when you have a underpowered , ill handling , non competitive racecar , a smart , respectfull driver will stay off the pace and keep out of the rest of the fields way so they can race , not overdriving it causing numerous cautions , unnessasary wrecks and angry drivers . a little common sense goes a long way .

you just cant get it right can you? I have said over and over i said i won't help another driver and no, probably NOT a track either!!! I sponsor a race at NSS (Strictly stock) and the first race the next year the pace truck driver (Woman) kicks me out of the pits because "No personal vehicles are allowed) Wife and I took pics or 23 other personal vehicles, I returned, beged them to kick me out when they let 20 - 25 other personal vehicles in every week. Would make good news on ch 6. So no, I wont help the track for a long time. Personally I respect Rick Bristol and if I helped anyone it would be him. As for car owners like you Boney, no, never!! Because of your lies an mouth, I helped no-one this yr. How many remember when Saint Boneman kept cheating week after week when he drove for Missle Man at NSS yrs ago? Hey Boney, remember the night you (driving for Missle Man) tore the 71 down and they tore missle down?? NOTHING was found on the 71. Missle passed the clutch out from under his car and his wife slid in a differantone to give tech and they were to stupid to realize the clutch was ice cold!! Next week Ted hammered both of you. Or how about the night you and Missle got caught changing 3"s on your carsafter the heats?? Real slick Boney. As far as me helping the payouts for the drivers, yes idiot, the spectators do. And wether you and your cronies like it or not, the spectators get the last word. Sounds like they are every week at Orlando, they stay home! Anyhow Boneman, I'm not arguing with ignorance (thats you) anymore. Why dont you come over here sometime and you and I will go talk to the guy that got craped on at OSW I was talking about? You can bring your Buddy Straightup with you. If I'm lieing I'll buy you a set of tires but if not you apoligize here to me? Now you wouldnt do that would you, so go ahead and keep telling your lies, make yourself look stupid. I'm done with you .
