Small or Big. Should not make a difference. They bring just as much to the tracks as any other class. Because they are small, they also get picked on, being karts, bandeleros or minicups. They pay the same thing to go thru them gates as well as anyone else does. They do at times get shoved to the back. Or treated like they are a nobody, but they are a great entertainment.

And just to let you know, No one in the grandstands were leaving. They were all still there after they race. There was 3 more division's after them. And the Mini Cups did bring them to their feet..With the excitement & great show they were putting on.

It is pretty bad when a promoter - track owner - driver can not post something on this board with out getting slammed from someone.
Either by promoting the series, a driver, or a track.
Why most people won't even come on here, or post anything anymore.
    Give it a rest sometimes.

As far as Jeff, he is a great driver. And Fast Mini Cup Series is honored to have him, as well as his other crew drivers race with us. Just ask Jeff, if he didnt have fun.

These cars can get up to speeds of 120 mph now. At a bigger track.
Used to be only about 100mph.
Fast Mini Cup Series is the first to have these engines modified, to go faster.
Bigger cams, Port & Polish heads, Advance Timing, etc.

All these series that have small cars, is to benefit the children. As well as let the adults have fun.
Thats all they want to do, and also some day maybe be a driver like you.
Again, the adults do it, for the fun. But find out you still have to set these cars up, just like you do the big cars. But more affordable to buy, and maintain.

By the way thank you Racefan99

So you think we should not be allowed to question anything that is written? We can't use any humor, any sarcasm and we have to silently accept anything that we see on the internet? Sorry, aint gonna happen. If you contend that your series is the best thing on four wheels, go for it brother. But expect to prove it to skeptics like me.

We can except and handled anything that is put out there. But putting down something we as the series or drivers believe in. Is un-called for.

Specially if there is a potienal family wanting to get their child in to the sport.
Being karts, bandeleros or mini cup cars or whatever.

And we never said we were the best.

But no they were not leaving. lol

And i had no doubt you would be one of the first to have a comment. lol

Been warned many times about you. LOL
Boneman and we wouldn't have it any other way.....

We allready have all the Piranha's names. That are just waiting to attack.

the main reason i dont like them so much is that they seem to think they are "Floridas best traveling series".

I quit fishing because there was no one handing out money at the docks when i got back. Why did you quit racing?

Each traveling series is always the best to them. Ask any traveling series that.
And there are so many great traveling series out there.
We are proud of what we have done, and more proud of the drivers that race for us.
When we walk away, we will always be able to say. We did everything we said we would do for them. But we are not going any where...

We will do every thing we can to help promote the series & the drivers. And continue to do everything we can for them.
As in any other promoter does for their series.

There are people who like Mini Cups and there are the ones that don't. But there is also people who don't like the new President. And there is the ones that do....
He will continue, just like this series will.

so Boneman was right, you guys wont even stay to watch your own race?

are the people who like minicups the same people who like the new president?

                Have you guys ever......

.......WATCHED a Mini-Cup or Champ Kart race? You might be surprised by the fact that the size of the cars/karts actually allows them to race, as opposed to "on the gas, 1,2,3, brake, turn, on the gas....etc." racing provided by the sparse fields in other divisions. I can assure you that the quality of the racing far exceeds that of almost any series other than the TBARA. Passes made by passing, not rooting. Finishes regularly decided by tenths of a second, not lengths. Seay and Boneman, I challenge you to come to a DCKS race, stand near me, and if you don't get excited about the racing, I'll pay for your pit pass. I won't say anything to you to force a reaction, I just want to monitor it. Unless and until you accept my offer, or can describe an incident that made you dislike these series so much, your opinion is just and only that, your opinion.

                  Hi Scott,

Thanks for the offer. I don't dislike either the mini cups or the DCKS. My problem is with the over the top presentation of both groups. What one person may consider event promotion, another person (me for example) would consider to be over-blown hype.

My views on Bandoleros are well documented. Yes, I dislike them because of the preferrential treatment they received for years at my home track, and the bad effect they had on the show. I also have a problem with centrifigal cluthes in general. It may not be apparent to anyone reading this, but they are loud and accelerate very slowly. It feeds the perception that karts are less of a racing vehicle because my belief is that car race fans want to see something pull away from a stop with the tires smoking, not crawling away and making a racket.

I've watched mini cups for years, and went to a DCKS race this year at Citrus. I'm not gonna rain on anyone's parade: go race and have fun. All I am pointing out is that the groups will benefit from a more realistic media presentation. I do not believe that the stands were on their feet at Auburndale. Certainly you don't want the racing population to believe they are being misled, or are hearing exaggerations.

BTW: I raced Star Champ karts for years. It was good racing, I just happen to prefer cars.

Thanks, Boneman. I feel that racin' is racin'. Yes, sometimes the presentation does get a bit overworked, but my offer still stands. Come to DeSoto this Saturday, look me up (not hard to find. Yellow Kart, #99. Very obnoxious personality everyone tries to avoid. You know the type. Yeah, I'm THAT guy. ) and watch these guys. JD is a math whiz, and determined, that to scale, these guys are doing about 230 mph. Even real speed, at 65 to 70, with your butt 1" off the ground, it's pretty spectacular.

Oh, and I prefer cars, too. Sadly, my wife, bank account, and fear of tarnishing my legacy prevent me from that venture currently.

You may want to look at how fast these cars are going.

I am a supporter of little car racing BUT just had to slow our Bandolero's down here in LA! The were getting close to 70-80 mph range! We do not have the luxury that Orlando has with it's Bando track to keep these cars away from the wall. We felt it was getting far too dangerous for the kids to be going that fast. We changed the gear rule for them to slow them down. While most of the little cars are fairly safe...no need to test the envelope.

Bonehead if you will sit in the grandstand and squint your eyes...ok have a few beers...you can pretend that you are at Daytona when the little cars go out there It is amazing the new look you will have at the small car programs

I have attached an actual photo of a typical speedworld fan at the completition of the bandelero feature. I don't remember if this was the 3 car Bandit feature, or the 3 car Young Gun feature. Either way, the heats and features looked identical, and no amount of squinting could help. Once a fan gets so deeply asleep, it is tough for any other racing class to wake them fully for the rest of the show.

Jeez Rusty, after the years of instruction and knowledge I dished out while you were here, you still don't have it figured out. Believe me, making Bandos even slower won't help!
