CCMP Tower plans have been excepted by the Charlotte County Building Department!!!!

I have been around CCMP since the day it opened....Bobby is the best thing that has happen to that track. I can't say enough about how well Bobby treats the racers. Bobby has paid the posted purses, inproved the track, brought back some of the biggest names in Florida short track racing, promoted this track everywhere possible, and is still going! Way to go Bobby!!!!

CCMP has now became the " HOME" track for the Florida TQ Midgets, Checkered Falg Sprints, Outlaw Streetstocks and has brought back Late Models to a good car count.

If other tracks opened their arms to the racers and fans like Bobby does, and promoted their tracks like him, Short track racing in Florida would be booming.

That was a weird sentence to try and read, wasn't it......it was even harder to type it.

Here are my actual and final thoughts on CCMP, Bobby's grammatical skills and what he has done with the place:

The place is in much better shape than it was under the previous guy. Bobby has a great attitude and is always trying to make improvements to the place and the racing atmosphere in general. He must be doing something right, he seems to have pretty good car counts and the three times I have been the stands weren't full but they weren't empty either. It's true, I never have cared much for the track itself and that goes back to when it was built. Never liked the lego block outside wall or the track access points. That's just me. But a lot of people did and still do. My dad did but that might be cuz he always ran well there and won a bunch of races. I don't know too many people who are 100% enamored with every little aspect and nuance(look it up, Hootervillians) of their home track but because they love and live to race, things are overlooked. By contrast, I loved the old 1/4 mile at Lakeland but had one of my biggest heartbreaks when I slid off (and over) the back straight because there wasn't a wall there at all.
No worries, mate. I still loved the place.

That said:
To me....Bobby is probably the best thing to happen to CCMP.
and.......CCMP is probably the best thing to happen to Bobby.

What I mean is they both had a somewhat checkered past with the racers in Florida and now both are helping each other to a better place. I think it's pretty cool.


The funny thing is Bobby never touts himself as a schoolteacher. His cheerleading squad is in charge of that. Well, he didn't until a few posts ago, anyways. I won't speak for anyone else on here, but when I bust his chops for that kind of stuff, I'm actually aiming my shots at the other target....the much louder and more easily cranked up target.
Yeah...I know it's probably wrong but............damn, it's fun.


Bobby, I promise to come and meet you next time we race down there. I'll let you in on a little secret then too. Keep up the good work, don't let a stupid internet message board influence you and above all else....please name the new tower in honor of CCMP's biggest fan. You know who I'm talking about. She never misses a race and almost never contradicts herself.

Matt... no matter how mad you get at me, no matter how many times you make fun of me, no matter how many times you do whatever you do.... i will always care about you and remember better times. i wish you were able to put things behind you and start over. i have never held any grudge against you and never will. i try to always find the best in people and ignore their faults. God knows i make enough mistakes myself. i am not sure what happened but if i ever hurt you bad enough for you to still be angry, i do apologize from the bottom of my heart. there isnt anything else i can do.

as for Bobby Diehl... he is one of the kindest most generous fun people i know. he cant spell worth a poop but if someone is homeless or hungry, Bobby is there... most of those people dont appreciate him but he never stops giving. he never stops trying to do kind things for people. so if i jump in to protect him people will just have to live with it because i love bobby... he is one of my closest friends and i know him... i know he screws up sometimes, but who doesnt? Bobby loves racing and bobby loves people... he has taken in so many troubled teens and given them opportunities i lost count. some of them have had life changes because of bobby... and alot of his drivers have become "STARS" ... so forget the fact that he cant spell worth a damn and he isnt a great writer...but he is RACING! he is a true friend of racers... he does try to make it fun and exciting...

why do i spend so much time and effort on the message boards? well i am alone almost every minute of every day... the only friends i have are people i met right here on Karnac and at race tracks across the state...... wonderful friends!!! i work all day and i do alot of things for racing on the side... i have the kids every weekend...so there isnt much time left to socialize. i try to like everyone... i always look for the good in people. if i cant find any then i dont bother with them. but i dont hurt them either. i do have alot of faith in God. He helps me be what I am... He helps me be more understanding and forgiving. if that's a fault then i am guilty.

sometimes i am outspoken... but i always use my own name and i am always accountable for what i say. if i screw up i apologize... sometimes i have mixed feelings about issues... it doesnt mean im lying. it just means i can sometimes see both sides of an issue.

i love racing. i started going racing when i was a little baby... my dad raced midgets. i love living on the edge... i love FAST! i love so many of the people in this sport. it is my social life... so please dont make fun of me for enjoying the message boards. these are REAL people. we are communicating. we dont always have to agree. jeeez me and jerry binner (frasson) have had more disagreements than anyone but we are very close friends and we always will be... and we always support racing in a huge way...

why am i writing this? well i care what people think... i am a pain in the posterior appature but i also do alot of good things. seems the good things get passed over but some of you enjoy belittling me if you dont agree with me. it does hurt a little but i try to always be honest even if i goof.

i support bobby diehl 100% and i support racing and the drivers 100%... they both give me joy and when it stops being good then i will leave and not look back. but for now i will grace the message boards and i can be found in the same seat at CCMP every saturday night. i hope this post gives a little insight about what i am as a person. i do make mistakes but i am not a bad person. and you can bear with me... i bear with you... and i do think you are one hell of a guy. just a little judgemental sometimes. but then again i guess we all think we are right huh? have a nice day Matt... we woke up today so it cant be all bad huh? hahaha
