Motorsport in general is still doing very well with drifting, drag racing, road racing, and lapping. Just the stock car part of it is suffering. On pavement it's worst. Dirt in general is still doing pretty good. That is why you see more and more multi functions Motorsports Parks these days.

The Pay to Play system. People come in, pay a fee, have fun all day with the toy of their choice, and then, majority of the time, drive it back home. No rules, no truck, no trailer, no crew, next to no tools. Just you and the toy.

That same toy, they can use for drag, drift, lapping and to some extend, road racing. And use it to go to work on Monday and to grocery store on Thursday after work. What's not to like?

In the last ten years I have started my roll cage business, I build 10 roll cages for drift/drag/lapping car for one stock car.

There is nothing you or me can do about it. That is the way it is.

But this does not means a well run stock car track cannot have successes, because many still have, even if many fail.

The track owner that looks AHEAD will be the one to be successful... Most of the cars being raced today are the equivalent of the taxi cabs in Havana... they are relics... Low-buck classes featuring 4 and 6 cylinder cars are going to be the way to go... Cars a 20-30 year fan old can recognize.. I think a "Super Stock-Pure Stock" type class of FWD-only 6-cylinder cars would take off like crazy... Chevy Impalas, Ford Tauruses, Chrysler 300s, Nissan Maximas. Toyota Carmrys, even Hyundais, Kias, some left over FWD Pontiacs and Oldsmobiles ... These cars populate salvage yards like you would not believe and could be built for the fraction of the cost for a 30-year-old Monte Carlo... Classes need to be run that will make racing fun again and give every Walter Mitty out there a chance to prove he (or she) is as good as Dale, Jr., Kyle, or Danica (that should be pretty easy)... Simple rules that make it easty to build the car yet allow it to be a real race car... This is an entertainment business first and foremost... It's 2016, not 1986... we need to move forward before all the RWD car parts dry up...

Bronson Speedway is the track we should be most worried about losing next.
Once Citrus reopens they will eat Bronson's lunch and I don't see how it will stay open
I don't see how it stays open as it is now....

          just my .02 cents
