Really good race with a long green flag run of about 70 laps of nose to tail. Only 1 car got lapped. Very evenly matched.

Todd, DJ, Devon, Cody and Doug Moff top qualifiers then a 6 inversion. Top 6 cars nose to tail for 100 laps, Devon, Doug, Cody, Wayne, DJ and Todd at the end. Top drivers follow the leader one of the best fields and close racing. Tires were the story no grip and it was nose to tail with no passing. After 100 laps these tires were gone. They may be OK for 35 lap races but not 100 laps. Wayne was the only car to come from the back to 4th went from 8th to 4th in the final laps.

Not sure anyone will ever be happy. Lol. Guys wanted cheaper tires. Check. They are cheaper. Want faster cars and tires. Speeds were up in all classes. Check. Tires that last. Well they are no more worn out than a Hoosier after a 100 laps. They would all but ew tires again anyway. Really who runs tires again after a 100 lap race. Lol. So I'd say check. So why are they bad. Because it's different. Just stay home I guess. Stuart Vandevender. 36 sportsman

You can not piss this tire off, the Hoosier would come back, this tire will not so you have to play nice or you go back just ask Cody did and he had a slick after the race. We never said anything about the price it was the track that got sold a bill of good and money from the tire man.

If you like follow the leader racing then that is what we got.

Won't name names, but a top finishing OWM driver told me last night that he could still use the the tires again, even after 100 laps. In fact, a few guys even praised the durability. As for no passing, you just had a bunch of evenly matched drivers with their programs together. Devin McLeod made it stick with an outside pass to take the win. A driver will get up on the wheel and drive. I think some guys just haven't learned the tires yet and they will be fine when they figure it out. The guys who run up front usually, still ran up front.

"Congrats to Devin McLeod for the outside pass to win."--OWM53

                Agreed! Congratulations!

Desoto is a track that will let a fast car get away, a track on which a fast car can carve through the field.

Let us not forget Devin was in a crowd of fast cars and passed on the outside for the win.

I do not know who You were talking to but that is not what I heard, Devon saved enough tire to beat Moff and he did a great job of driving. All I can say is I watch 78 laps of follow the leader, and only when they restarted after the yellows did anything happen.

Also they have a rule if you want the outside anyone can run up and take it, even cars that are in the back. I have never seen that before. If you get a outside restart you should have to take it. Again that is because they know how bad this tire is. Tell me where this is allowed at any other track

I have yet to run these tires, but, I have heard from a few who say the exact same thing Modowner said, if you buzz them once they won't come back.

Auburndale has done it for years. Separates the men from the boys. To say follow the leaders implies boring. That was anything but boring. Stickler was all over Moff.

You forgot to add: it also tends to separate the fenders from the cars.

But I have no issue with the "cone" pick yer row restarts.

By that argument though, you could also blame guns for shooting people, and not the guy pulling the trigger, no?

Weft, With all due respect, am thinking that is not exactly analogous.

Besides, I kind of like the Auburndale restart format, although it is hard to beat Yoho in turn four...

Well, I enjoy it as well. But drivers drive em, right? The cars don't cause wrecks.
