Oval44, I like your first comment because what the Tony did to Jeff Gordon was downright dirty.
Your second comment about Dale Sr was downright retarded. I just knew you would be the one to come on here and say something stupid about him. I know I have a bias opinion but after that 1 particular race at Pocono which I was refering too when Dale was downright dumped he was pretty cool about it.

EDM I do agree that Earnhardt did mellow a little bit later in his career. One thing that really always stood out in my mind was the Bristol incidents with Terry Labonte. One year he wrecks him coming to the checkered when he had no chance to win, and then the next year took him out even sooner in the race, and then called it "rattling his cage". Terry was in my mind one of the clean drivers and a gentleman in the sport. Maybe Dale Sr did most of what he did because NASCAR let him get away with it. I guess as a driver if I could get away with a lot more than everyone else I might too, but I don't think I could. I guess the fact that I have over 100 second place finishes and only 33 wins shows it.

Watch the replay of Carl and Kyle. Kyle is only mad because when he went to tag Carl back he missed. He could not get in deep enough and he was just slow enough that he did not get another chance and he had to watch Carl get smaller and smaller in the windshield. Something he has not had to do this year.

But at the end of it all, You gotta admit, Kyle Busch calling Carl Edwards "MR. ED" in the interview was classic.

I fixed it, You are right though. The only difference is Kurt settled down after Jimmy Spencer showed him how to respect other drivers. That 30 seconds of that race was some of the FUNNIEST in racing! Kurt THOUGHT he was a BIG MAN!!! Now someone needs to teach Kyle.

That was funny, but when they got to Carl he surprised me with " i just ran into him".

Was kinda boring for Bristol though, they should have been doing the last 20 laps the entire race..Another note..."sold out".

I wish some of those people who bought up all those empty seats would share the tickets with us poor people.
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.

It's funny people still bring up Dale Earnhardt and he has been gone for eight years now! Kyle Bush wouldn't have made a pimple on his arse! If you live by the sword you die by the sword. It couldn't have happened to a better person! And don't get me wrong Carl Edwards a.k.a. Eddy Haskell is no angel! But it was the perfect opportunity with the perfect person, Kyle Bush a.k.a. The Punk!
I have said all along if I was a mildly popular nascar driver I would dump the punk for three weeks in a row and have extra haulers at the track for all my tee shirts and etc. that I would be selling!

                    Thats funny....

Thing about Dale Sr is he had charisma and personality. Cant say the same about Kyle.

Too true. As many things as I didnt like the way he conducted himself on the track, he always did things off the track that stood out in my mind. His kids wanted to race but he didnt go out and buy them the nicest latemodel on the market to start in. He made them start in junk. Literally. And they didnt each have a race car, they had to share the danged thing.

Another thing was I was watching an interview of the Jarretts. Ned was telling the story about DJ winning the daytona 500 over Sr and he went and apologized to dale sr about the way that he had conducted the broadcast, and Dale told Ned to remember that he was a dad too. Then the story about Dale sr flying DJs family to the awards banquet when he won the championship and didnt charge him anything.

At least Dale sr had a hart and was a real man. No one should ever compare scrub to him

One of the funniest things I remember about Sr was when Darrell Waltrip retired they held a little ceremony for him, and Dale Sr. gave Waltrip a rocking chair as a gift.

Oval44 you mentioned Terry Labonte in your earlier post being a gentleman. I couldnt agree with you more. He is one of the nicest and most down to earth drivers that I have ever met. I have some really good friends that live in Corpus that used to do alot of church functions with Terry and his family.

Juan Pablo Montoya doesn't want to go a lap down, at least without a fight.

Edwards catches him, but can't pass.

Gordon catches them both, but can't pass either one.

Kyle Busch catches all 3, and drives right past all of them....

Like the guy or not, he can DRIVE!

I never said the guy couldnt drive, its just his personality sucks. In fact it far worse then anybody that I can think of in a long time.
Gordon and Edwards both wore out their tires trying to pass by that point too.
