That was great, classic Brisol. Joe Gibbs told Edwards that "you reap what you sow" In that case I guess Kyle Busch has a few more coming to him.

Maybe I am wrong, but I thought bump and run was part of racing. Edwards did not wreck Kyle, he only gave him what I call a love kiss and got around him. He is not the first to do that and won't be the last. But this "I'll get even" is old. Any racer, whether NASCAR or local short track, will do that if they see they can and win the race.

Oh well, back to picking up tree limbs in the yard.

Bump and run has become legit only in the past 10-15 years. I think the combination of NASCAR's parity, which made passing more difficult, and the cult following of Earnhardt, who dished out lots of bump and runs, have combined to give this manuever some legitimacy.

Of course it has been around since racecars had bumpers, but classy and skilled drivers avoided it.

I know a lot of people didnt like Dale Sr. but he could take it as well. Ex when Jermy Mayfield bumped him out of the way at Pocono in 99? I know Dale was upset but all he said is you win some and you lose some. At least on MRN thats all he said. Espn didnt show anything different later on.

Read Bugsy Stevens book to see how he feels about the "bump-and-run". It was NEVER acceptable in racing, and was usually good for a punch in the mouth. Racers that RESPECT each other, know how to either pass someone cleanly, or accept the fact that there's always another race. Ever since Dale Sr. made it fashionable to outright DUMP the guy in front of you, all you gotta do is say "rubbin's racin'", and everyone is supposed to accept that.

This isn't a comment on either Edwards or Busch, but rather the fact that cheap shots are not only tolerated, but expected.

It ain't why I fell in love with racing. What a shame that it's come to this at every level, from Strictly Stocks all the way to Nascar.

I agree with what Edwards said after the race. He tried to pass him legitimately and then asked himself how would Kyle Busch race him, and I think he came to the same conclusion that I would.

Look at the way Kyle races people who are involved in points battles. He has absolutely no respect for anyone but himself. I guess Gordon should go tell Gibbs you reap what you sow because what Chubby did to Jeff was uncalled for. Not only move him out the way, then drive into the side of him when fatso had plenty of room at the bottom of the track.

This has to be the funniest thing I think I have ever heard. Dale sr cried all the time when someone tried to dish him a little of his own medicine.

I agree with what Frasson has to say. I also don't believe in the bump in run. If your faster figure out away around that proves your a real driver not just bump the guy out of the way. I've watch a lot of racers just knock the guy sideways instead of doing what I consider a true racer and either find another way around them or run behind them and wait for another day.

As a racer I have done the bump and been given the bump when the car was not right. However, don't bump in the turns. It's asking for a wreck, sometimes both cars. If a faster car gives me a bump, then I go high in the turn. Sometimes, when the car improves, I return the favor and get by.
                        But never in the turns......JMO

its NA$CAR they dont have many "classy" drivers

I quit fishing because there was no one handing out money at the docks when i got back. Why did you quit racing?

I guess I'm going to have to give up on Jr. Maybe my new driver "99" needs to drive the 88 or drive for Childress.I'm glad to see someone finally getting some balls and giving it back to CHEATER Busch. I think the one that should have had the bump and run was Juan Montoya.
