You have assumed that because we run Desoto we will lockstep go to Auburndale NOT

Also you have effected all the classed not just 1 or 2

And only 2 of the dates are scheduled on top of Showtime's Modified events.

"Yeah, K&K Insurance? Yeah, Robert Yoho here. How much to put a $20K bonus on my events for 'come from the back' guys? Right...un huh...wait, make that $30k...no, I don't give a damn, just do it. Send me the policy and I will cover it. Thanks"

Seriously, I wish everyone involved well, but am skeptical. I have to drive by Auburndale to get to Showtime, but it wouldn't be the first time.

Am not saying I won't attend one or more of these events, but at this moment, it doesn't look like the high road...

        Names of classes

I am getting confused, admo, dart, ads, dass, King of this, King of that. This invitational, that invitational. I just read the new Desoto schedule, and I have no idea what I just read. Way to confusing for the average Vince.

Who's assuming anything? Nobody says you have to race anywhere. You have free will and you pay your own bills. I just hope you are treated well wherever you go.

Don't think it will make much difference. The cars that run there local tracks will use what there track runs and the traveling cars that run the big shows will buy tires for those shows anyway. Be tough the first show but after the first race they will have practice tires. So if it's about the price or point fund money are the tires cheaper now or is the track going to post the point fund from tire sales.. ..
Bet the rest of the tracks stay on hooshers and the others and the other tracks will be back next year. Alburndale ran America racer a few years and it didn't work out. Maybe they made a better deal this time.
I only know what I read on here but there is more to this story than we are hearing.

Stay tuned for the rest of the story

was hoping to get someone thinking about why these tracks did this. Also what will happen next.
I wish I could say but its not something I can do.
There were a few people on here in the past few years that would have the answers already.
When things are going so well with all the tracks starting to go with the same rules and the same tires why would 2 tracks team up and change?

What is the reason to change tires?
                Are they better?
Don't think they have a new tire so its the same thing they tested the last few years.
                Cheaper? Don't think so.
                Well what could it be?
Want to bet that the 2 tracks are the only American racer dealers in florida.
The track wont have there racers using tires from another track.
The other tracks will get the same benefit with out changing anything.
Must be one more reason .
                think .....I cant say.....

                  Don,

A suggestion: Consider the following made up post--

"I have something really 'good' on Don Nerone, but I cannot tell you what it is". It leaves readers hung out to dry. Consider holding "the story" until you can tell it. Your deal either way though, sir.

But I have speculated on this story and don't mind yapping about it a bit.

It is at least partially a ploy to "imprison" racers to run exclusively at those two tracks. Their prerogative, of course.

As you mention, NSS and Showtime get the same benefit.

Further, the Dickie Andersons of the world will just buy more tires, as they already do for each event and regarding the 750/F53 deal.

As I deduced (perhaps incorrectly, we will see), it is the little guy that will be hurt, car count that will be hurt, and those two tracks that will be hurt. Ultimately spectators that do not travel as well.

But then, I have been wrong before. A lot.

No secret for the tire change Linda already told us why. The reason is easy $$$$$$$$ Hoosier said no money for points, American Racer says that they will kick back money to the tracks for points. Also these American Racer tires are not the same stuff we have used for years as the company was sold and the tires have been reengineered in the last couple of years.
                    The money comes and goes.
The trophy we get to keep.

Tommy there hasent been a tire deal that hasent had a point money deal in 30 years.
all the tracks got some kind of a deal
In the past few years the tracks had trouble paying there bill and the point fund was taken for payment.
Some of the tacks were so bad paying that they were on cash payment for tires only.
Want to take a guess which ones.
Old school the rest of the story.
New owners at American don't have the track record for payment.
I hope Jimmy Smith is still there at American Racer. He is a great guy and will try to help the racer every time.

As a wise man said and a wise man posted not long ago

"If you want to draw cars from all the different tracks then you have to give the racer the most economical way to do it.......Same rules and same tires at all tracks."

So will the other tracks go with a rule that u can run either tire.
Now that would be a deal breaker there.

Thx for the nice words two or three times there, Mr. Nerone (seriously).

However, it appears that your favorite quote is your own, there...(not so seriously).

Don, I did some checking on this whole tire thing. Talked to a man at American Racer and found that Jimmy passed away about six months ago, his wife passed early in the year. Jimmy was a great guy, I never met him face to face but spoke to him on the phone several times. RNP.
