What a surprise, nascar quickly jumps on someone elses' bandwagon just to get media attention, and no one takes them seriously.Originally posted by kendo View Post

Go back and read the link on post #62. The leading quotes are from "ocalasp76", also known as the driver of the #76 modified Jim Higgenbothersome. I KNEW Jim would have his flag proudly in the air, and woe to the security flack who tried to convince him to take it down.
No kidding, Jim, his camper and his flag were the inspiration for the first post in this thread.
Good job buddy, you stated your view clearly and politely

If anyone can, please do..

Thanks to The Onion for some of the Pros and Cons of flying the Confederate flag.
PROS
It's a bold way to display your distorted, painstakingly cherry picked heritage.
It's a stirring symbol of the South's never-surrender attitude 150 years after the South surrendered.
It's the simplest way to let others know that your state ranks at the bottom quintile of all quality of life metrics.
It says political correctness should never get in the way of being on the wrong side of history.
CONS
You can't fully grasp it's granduer like you can on a bedspread or garage door.
U.S. flag already represents the history of entrenched prejudice.
Has always been a sad reminder of the cacellation of the Dukes of Hazzard.
It gives an accurate representation of the person flying it.
