Unreal, the negativity and bashing is ridiculous. A guy gives his heart to try and make things better, and it's not enough. People who have all the answers, but do nothing to help. If it's all so simple, then help! I'm sure if someone could obtain a class sponsor, they would be given a finders fee. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. And Matt Albee, I want to meet you. Will you be at Desoto this weekend? There are at times good points you make, but in a lot of your posts, you really show complete ignorance and often what you are speculating is in factually the opposite. You aren't stupid, just a little misguided.

This is why nothing gets any better. Everybody has a "solution" or is a critic. But you know why the biggest reason attendance could be falling? Because we have no new fans. I'd say go to all the Publix store in none county or walmart or Home Depot etc. give every one free admission. Most of those people weren't coming to the races anyway so technically your not losing any money. But you will gain concession sales and potential new fans. Maybe due cards where if you pay admission to four different weeks you get the 5th week free. It's not like giving food or products away because those you lose money on but getting people in the seats to BUY food and products is where it's at. And start inverting the field. Put the winners in the back and flip the line up. Make it exciting. Do something different every week . Bitching on here does nothing but cause fueds and wasted time. Just a little suggestion.

I tend to believe, most of what has been said is constructive criticism. Annoying people can gather negative attention which can be destructive to the overall goals. Bobby is a smart man and a good promoter. I hope he gets what people are saying.

Exactly. He is giving it his all. Atleast he is trying to get excitement.

This makes me remember one of my favorite lines from Smokey and the Bandit. Do the letters FO mean anything to you ? I think FO stands for Forgitit OldSchool ! LOL !

Not a bad idea, nor bad logic. The only thing might be how the folks that paid to get in feel...

But nonetheless, to possibly build on the idea, what about "buy one get one free" admission coupons, also to be handed out at Publix--or maybe stuffed under the wipers at the local parking lots.

Heck, there will be a lot of kids there this weekend, they could each take some with them to place under wipers or hand out at school.

You could do a night for all kinds of people. Like ladies night or construction workers night etc. Anything would help really.

Of course there are some people who have all the answers and do a lot to help. Which one are you? Just like there are people who are not part of the problem but not part of the solution either. And there are some that are part of the problem with the solution. And there are some who are part of both.
Yes, i will be at Desoto this weekend.
A finders fee from a race track owner???? And you call me a little misguided!!

Who ever ask about Bobby's super, I think he is rfering to a super thats on a trailer and the trailer has a turn table that turns the car and I think it had lights Flashing. That sucker get attention. Bobby loves this sport, make no mistake,He may annoy people but he is doing what he does from his heart! At least he is trying to put butt's in the seats. He is trying ti draw cars and large car counts put butt's in the seats believe me. I have seen that time and time agin in the 60+ years I have loved this sport. I will agree you must let people know its there. Thats what the purpose of Turn Five and thats why I build a promo for Desoto every week. I make very little on Turn Five and I make nothing on the promo I do it because I love what I do and I want to see it prosper. I see you guys critical Bobby and others that try to promote our sport and iut pains me. Just let him have his head and see what he can do. Its like an old horse I use to have, you drop the reins and she'd head home.

                            the blue!!!

Bobby may have about 20 threads he started, he may use big letters and loud colors, but you cannot deny one thing, he is trying!

He is trying to get kids involved which is what the sport needs to continue, new young blood - he is contacting drivers/teams to get them to come out. Does he have all the answers - probably not but he is still putting an effort in.

In the last 30 days count the number of posts and threads he has, the go back the last 4 or 5 years and count the number of posts from the other tracks.

He posts with excitement but he is doing it because he loves this sport, so instead of bashing him and picking on him because of his color choice or font size, how about you give him a hand?

Yes, "Rudy" at Notre Dame was trying...
The character in Million Dollar Baby, "Danger" was trying...

Trying is wonderful in it's proper place, but sometimes it's misguided.
