We I started it was to be a $50.00 Entry and Impound race, but with having so many trucks (and needing a 25 lap "B" Main Charger Race) we needed to shorten the race to 40 laps and make it $900.00 to Win. Sorry if it caused any inconvenient's.

Also thanks for your input. I will knock off the color and BIG letters for as long as I can stand it.

Always trying to improve what or how I do things. Thanks for supporting me. I am really trying to make a difference. I believe that the front gate will drive to back gates to help the tracks survive. We must have the Racers first to be able to sell a show and have the Bill Boards have a value. Again thanks..... Hope to see you this weekend. If not please support your own track.

A couple of thoughts on the Bobby Diehl " Onslaught and Remake Of Race Promotion".

Bobby always thinks loud and colorful are necessary to get your point out there.
In truth, it's usually just very annoying.

Bobby really believes that the number of hits his posts get, translate into new fans.
In truth, most of those hits are from Bobby himself constantly checking for new posts.

Bobby believes that by adding new threads to every topic, he's reaching new readers. He also thinks that starting a new thread on the very same topic will steer people away from critical comments he received on the first thread.
In truth, people aren't likely to fall for that trick. And the ones who do aren't people he wants to reach.

Bobby thinks that constant bombardment is going to register with the demographic.
In truth, think back to every tv commercial that plays 20 times per hour and makes you want to throw something at the tv.

Bobby, like the tracks, thinks that big fonts and bright colors on a racing forum are all that's needed to build fan and racer support.
In truth, i'd be very surprised if David Rogers or Jesse Dutilly even read this forum. So they aren't getting the message. Nor are the thousands of potential fans who don't know this site even exists.

I'd like to believe that Bobby's PR work extends beyond this site. Here, you're just preaching to the choir. Please use your enthusiasm to get the word out to people who have no idea what racing is or where it happens. That would be an accomplishment worth talking about.

Oh, and check your facts before posting.

2. Matt check out Ricks post on the numbers (you could be surprised).

3. No not really Matt. I think if the tread is still active and having input I keep going, but if a new twist comes up and not really as the original post was made I start other to follow in a new direction.

5.Yes I hate those TV ads as well, but then I find myself humming their dang jingle. Guess they got me???? DARN it......... again those guys did it again.... They sure are SMART guys.....

6. Yes. Matt it is called Gorilla Advertising (get the book it's GREAT reading). Very few Circus or special events, Car Dealership, Curse Lines etc... posters are black and white. Color bring out the brightest part of our consciousness.

7. Well Matt you would SHI.... at when I call each and every driver (that I have the numbers for) they are so supportive of my MADNESS!!!!! And Matt if your going to the races you must not of been paying attention to the PA system during the EVENTS!!!. We announce to those potential fans at each every race (many times) to go to KARNAC to get their LATEST and GREATEST information on the Series and now DESOTO "The Palace of SPEED"!!!!! I do it in hopes of winning them over to the KARNAC site to see all the HIPE!!!!

8. YES!!!! Matt I am also SMILING and DAILING trying to get the HIPE out!!! I not only posting on KARNAC, but calling newspapers, TV, calling School Systems, Face Book, media list, printed media, posters at the local businesses that are part of our Desoto Marketing Group as well as "BUSINESSES" that could benefit by marketing with us an getting those fans and supporters that come to the races and events (keeping our SPORT alive). Matt you really need to get out and about. Come to some of our "Live Displays" to see the Racers at the "Meet and Greets".
