No I am not bitter trust me. I dont want to see any tracks close. think about this look at how many cars drive by the osw race track on hwy 50 every day thousands all week long people going to work, the beach, what ever reason they see the big yellow sign but come race night we have 20/40 in the stands they tried sat night still no better. now we are back to friday night which I agree with. I would bet we have more people pass by that track more then any other track. so who knows maybe the oval track is in the wrong location . Phil I agree sealed crate motor is the way to go they are running it in sportsman / super stock / emods one of the smart thing they have done. I dont know why osw quit running the e-mods they had more of them then the big motor mods. what osw should do is give each class a shot for like 3 months do like 2/3 classes at a time. and which classes have the bigger car counts supporters keep them and build from there kind of like a audition and I am talking 4clylinder up to super late every class gets a shot. Then take the results sit down a decide how many classes they want to have and what they want to run. they would have nothing to lose at this point. Get that then work on getting the fans to come back.

I have some intel that says they are going to be making some changes to some stuff soon to really try and bring people back.

OSW Cares about their oval program. They want it to succeed and want to do everything they can to entertain the fans and give the drivers what they want.

        Shorttrack makes an interesting point.

Boocoo traffic goes by looking at that sign.

        So, 40 attendees @ $12 each = $480--hardly significant...

A thought--on an evening that will be guaranteed to be exciting--maybe sportsman and a demo derby--put a big sign up with some absurd price--FREE, $3, $5, *something* to rake them in.

Also, "car wash" girls next to highway 50 with $5 (or whatever) signs on race night might help too!

Once they get corralled, theoretically the new fans will be amazed and impressed and come back.

        (apparantly, sometimes I am a Humpy-savant...)

          a positive from a negative?

First, in no way is this post intended to disparage "Shorttrackcar1", rather, in fact, to possibly turn a negative into an odd "positive".

This morning while loosening the petcock on my firebird I was lying next to the car and balancing myself by holding on to the top of the fender. The car was running, it was cool out so the hydraulic cylinders that hold up the hood were marginal, and the hood came down on my fingers.

Fortunately there was a fender cover there and all I got was a nasty cut on my road-signaling finger.

Impulsively I screamed "OH, SHITTRACK!!", and then laughed aloud, bleeding and all.

Try it when appropriate, it may work for you...

          Happy Sunday, y'all.

My kid got me into watching a show called Archer and there's a character on there named Pam and she always says "Awe Shit Snacks", and I've picked that up but I admit the other day I said it and then I changed it to Shit Track. :-)
