Citrus had 21 in the pits, 3 broke in warm ups, and 2 crashed in the 3rd heat.
Looks like 16 to start the feature. So far, the rest of the program hasn't been good.
8 Street Stocks, 4 Pro Hornets, 2 Rookie Hornets, and 10 Pure Stocks. An hour & 15 minutes into it, we're at intermission with the Sprint autograph session lining up.
Also.... the PA system here is completely useless. With only the pace car & 1 wrecker on track, it drowned out the audio. It doesn't help when the announcer only speaks when the cars are right in front of you at speed.
I'll volunteer to eat crow on this one and say that Citrus was right to just do their thing, and I was wrong for suggesting they should move their date. Clearly they won the sprint car battle last night soundly. I'd be one PO'd person if i had gone to showtime and paid 130$ to park on the backstretch to watch 7 cars race for 75 laps.
I'm with Luke on this one. I also have to eat crow, as I switched my own plan 1/2 way through the day. Troy Decaire had posted the car counts at the 2 tracks, and I didn't want to deal with a lousy field and wind up feeling that I should've skipped it.
Citrus had a very entertaining Sprint show, although the rest of the classes left a LOT to be desired.
I learned something last night.. Yoho and some guy mike have egos that are too large for their own good. I dont think I will go put of my way again. I commented " what a douche" to something he said and was amazed how many people in the stands agreed.
I think by end of the year it will be just yoho and billy billy racing there
"Boneman For President"... there's no way in hell he could be worse than what we now have. Plus, it would be great for the sport to have a real racer in the White House..... OSF
Thank a Police Officer for what they do........... OSF:
Top Gun also ran at Hendry County... have not seen any results or how many cars... did hear that Danny Martin, Jr. won it... I talked to Don Rehm at Auburndale on Friday and he has a really aggressive 21 race schedule (now that Bubba has decided not to do his own thing this year and come on board)... He has a bunch of good sponsors and more on the way... Funny how you could barely find any Sprint Car racing in Florida just 3 years ago and now there's plenty!
