(IF TRUE)...I was told @ EB last night by Desota regular ....they have quit having qualifications and doing all heats to give the crowds a chance to see others actually win....Hope thats a fact....also Desota has gone to a Real Tech Team that has put the trash to the curb....looks like the cheaters gonna have to find somewhere else to race....cause Desota don't roll that way...NO MORE....Great move Desota....your fans gonna appreciate that 1000%......OSF

That's the only way to run a speedway. Heats and a handicap system, that way "every dog has his day" and every competitor gets a chance to win at some point. Let the fast cars start buried in the field. If you're a "driver" you can get to the front. Fast guys starting on the pin just lead to boring ass racing. And we wonder why we can't draw fans anymore. A great decision by Jimmy and Critter. Just another reason why Desoto Speedway will be my home track in 2014...Comment

That's what I've been saying all along... Hate Qualifying... it takes away from a good show... I sure as hope it's true (if anything will save that track, No Qualifying and Hard Core Tech will surly do it)... again.. hope it's true...

Ur right OSF. Strict tech is the way to go. Had a phone convo w Critter and he assured me that tech will be enforced. Also assured me that a certain "blatantly illegal" car will not be allowed to run. Cheaters beware: stay away from Desoto, you're not welcome and YOU WILL get bagged.Comment

Desoto is going to be the track to watch I suspect. Jimmy knows the cars, rules, engines, and how to drive em. Critter knows the right way to run a track.
I think we're going to see some sensible rules for all classes coming from Desoto. And some innovative ideas for racing in general. Time will tell.Comment

For those who dont know.from I-75 exit on Florida State route 64 just south of Bradenton FL.Go east 9 miles until you see the sign and entrance,or you run over Williams.You wouldnt be the only one!!!!! LOLComment
