    Having fun yet Moe..LOL
The other guys (unoho) are still having record car counts in all classes 120 endros and selling out the stands and there morons so what does this say for your show.
OSW was one the place that had one the largest car counts in the state for years so what happened or what changed to make it so bad the last few years??
O yea I rember Moe saying it was my poor mhg that did it.
I agree with that and it can get worse.
At this point there is still a track there but if it keeps on the dosers bound to show up.
it will make a nice parking lit for the drag strip.

            I don't think I'll be back.

I'll agree it has been a boring show for quite some time. What is needed is someone to run the track with an attitude to improve it, and not just keep the same old stuff. Nothing turns off people more than having to sit through an intermission after watching heat races that only avg 4 cars per class, and then when intermission is over, have to sit there for 25 min watching 3 bandaleros try to complete a 15 lap feature. They should run them at 7;30 or during the intermission. Too many divisions, not enough cars, and way too long on the avg clean up. By 9:45 everyone is bored silly and ready to go home. When they think about the traffic to get there, the cost to get in with the family, (if they bring them), and the fact that the program is dragging on or not interesting because of lack of competitors, common sense says "why bother". I remember when you had to get there early to get a good seat. Maybe Mr Dragstrip should turn it into a skateboard track. He'd probably get more spectators and competitors than he does now.

Pal, with those discriptions, you haven't been there in quite some time!!!
BUT you can still voice a negative opinion about the place.
              Nice job.

Sorry Mr Palmbayer, I forgot that you actually have to have CARS to run heat races. Tell me what that was on saturday nite the 26th !! Was it two heat races and 1 feature for the 4 strickly stocks that showed up, or was it 3feature races for that class? There were no other cars there, just 1 super stock, (the one we brought along with a strickly stock)! I'm sure the 18 people in the stands just had the time of their lives. You can bet most of them won't be back either. I'm glad we left and went to NSS to see a real race. As for running the little cars after intermission, you know they have done it and while maybe not lately, the damage had already been done. Traffic is a bitch coming from the middle of Orlando out to the track and while saturday is a bit better than friday nites, who wants to deal with it so that they can see what they saw on the 26th. By the way, did the tire man ever show up in the pits in case any competitors who showed up needed tires? Oh I forgot, with No fans and No cars why would you need tires? Great way to run a track. You are right about ice skating.

I'm certainly no expert on the Orlando track or it's current situation but the solution seems pretty clear. And it's not to wait on fans to show up. It's not to wait for a magical combination of classes and rules to bring racers back.
The solution is to spend money. Making a financial investment in OSW for future growth. Spending the money to hire a good, competent staff and improve the infrastructure for the long term. And pay purses that attract cars which eventually attracts fans. After all, I mean it's a 20 year lease.

I accept full responsibility for everything. The unthinkable was set in motion, and I suspect that it was too much for the cosmos to bear. My kid was set to make his BANDOLERO debut at Speedworld. Yep, the whole space time continuum suffered a serious jolt and the track ground to a stop as a result.

Isn't it odd that we have heard nothing from the track about the future?

As much as I really don't like the politics at NSS, unless you are going to build a dirt car, there isn't much of a choice where to race. No matter what, it is better than what has happened at OSW. There is too much time and money invested in cars and equipment to put up with the ever changing tide at OSW. Love the track, management sucks. For a lot of people it has come down to a choice of letting the car sit or sell out. It's a shame. It has become obvious that it probably won't matter who gets hired to manage it as long as mr Dragstrip chokes the life out of it. Maybe it should be run Nov to March. Who knows? The question now is, do you build cars for the coming year at OSW and hope they open and stay open with major policy changes, or build for somewhere else. If you run for fun, then changing tracks during the year isn't too bad, but if you run for points, it kills everything. You can hope, wish, whatever, but reality always wins. Mr Palmbayer, is it worth what you are spending to put up with that nonsense?

No it's not worth it you are right Frank. Not worth sitting around waiting.

I heard that it's gonna end up being the first WalMart with a leased Drag Strip
