Thanks for the offer.I don't drink beer but don't mind stopping by.

You did see my point though, you obviously have a car and travel. Will this change help?

Will the masses answer and car counts boom?

Will all the tracks see bigger car counts and notice traveling drivers to entice them to put on that big show once a month to draw all of the cars?

I used to run 3 different tracks on the rock hard Comanche. I raced my regular track but would travel to others for "events".
Benny, your always welcome we keep plenty of water and sodas

I don't think the tire change will help car counts but it will help the drivers wallet and it sure will entice some thought about traveling. For instance your home track isn't racing , and you want to race..........well it sure would be easier to race a different track knowing your car is already sitting on the tires you need. OWM 61 had a great thought.....Race once a month at different tracks..........once a month they have a big race alternating?? I don't think the tire change is a save all but its my opinion ( not everyone's) that the slick will improve the racing and give the fans a better race to watch....

      Rotflamo!

[QUOTE=Matt Albee;130478]I still read your thinking as " I don't want to spend money to go fast, I want to slow everyone else down to my pace and my budget". The solution there is just drop down a class.

Matt, I'm laughing so hard my stomach hurts! While you were at home typing away on Saturday night I was at the Speedway winning the Heat by four car lengths and battling up front in the Feature! No offense, but if I wanted any advice as to what divison I should run, I think you would be the last one I would ask. I'm doing just fine and happy in the Sportsman class, thank you. I think you should spend some time figuring out how you are going to help your "Mod Mini Friends" mount those 15 x 10 slicks on to the 13 x 8 rims they are mandated to run! You're killing me!

Benny stop by and see us at the track....trailer always open and a cold one after the race. 8Modified are you saying that Orlando is on slicks too? What about NSS?
NSS and Orlando switched to slicks after Speedweeks

You have a good point there. I'm sure if the tire rule changed, the mandated wheel rule would remain in place.
Don't let me influence which class you race in. If you feel you've reached the limit of your talent, then by all means stay fine and happy in the Sportsman class.
