PGS and AIRPORT

The one thng that most of you are forgetting,was when the federal gov't and Charotte co. and the state of Florida,expanded Piper rd. from a two lane to a four lane road,it cut the speedway's parking in half.It also made the area and the parking lot a virtual soup bowl.

Doesn't anybody remember how many cancelled shows there's been in the last year? I do.The thing was when Williams took over PGS,Piper rd. was still a two-lane road.I'm sure that te Airport authority NEvER told him that when they had plans to expand the highway to the airport,that they were not going to add drainage to and from the property.

I don't know about you,but if I were to construct ANYTHING, I guarantee you that the state or county would make me buy permit's,and make sure that my property was up to code and have proper drainage.

The Airport didn't do that,or neglected to do anything about it.No matter who does re-open the speedway,you better make SURE the county and state put drainage in,or you'll only be able to run,when there's no rain,so your parking lot doesn't flood.If the county and Airport want to keep raising my lease every few months,without a BINDING AGREEMENT,I'd tell them to piss off!

I still stand by what I said with certain polital forces wanting to tear up the speedway,so the Airport can build another runway and a private hanger for a family's name that rhymes with push.When one of their family member's keep making speeches from the Airport,it makes me scratch my head and go hmmmmmm.

Too bad for them when OBAMA is threatening budget cuts at Charlotte county airport.All best made plans,have a tedency to get screwed up.

Well i have been here more than once before.
When i took over alburndale the last promoter took everything.
I didnt matter to us because it needed rebuilding.
When i left orlando i took everything that i bought.
The pa system is not perm.
We got in this light deal at lakeland and the aterneys and the bank said that if there were in concrete they were real property if not they were not. chew on that for a wile.
O yea give me a speeling leason please..

Really????? I have been around the track since the days when LeRoy Davidson had it. Each owner has been unique in their own way. BUT I have to say that Kevin Williams and Mike Chase take the cake, which they might as well do since apparently they are taking everything else!
I have talked to PLEANTY of drivers since this fiasco has started and they don't care who OWNS the track or the beachers or anything else they DO care about where they can go to race...period.
Kevin is not on the up n up like he would like everyone to think that he is. Either is Linda who has taken it upon heself to apparently be the mouth piece for Kevin as well as Mike. Linda, isn't it true that when Bobby had the track he fired you midway through the races one night because you stole money from him to put Ryan Pancoast back on the track after he received a fine? That whole thing took place in plain view of ALL fans who were standing outsing the office that night. Come on Linda think. Or have I left you speechless??? Somehow I don't think thats possible. As for Kevin, no we haven't raced while Kevin for good reason. We showed up at the track to race and good ole Theresa Able called Kevin on the radio. We were turned away at the pit gate being told we were't allowed to race there.
Yes, there is a point to this... Bobby, who owned the track before Kevin sold Kevin whatever he could, if it belonged to him or not, just to make money for himself. Racers prior to the sale stated they wouldn't race for Kevin and oh look, there they were. Now they are going to follow Kevin to Desoto? Oops I mean Full Throttle Speedway. Real original name guys. Seriously? Did you name it after the bar Full Throttle Saloon? or maybe the video game? Whichever its not real unique. And Kevin, real smart move to fire everyone 17 minutes after you took over the track. Now theres a fine upstanding citizen. This whole thing is a joke. There are only 2 people that have ever had any real love for the track, which is Leroy Davidson and Gary Laplant. Leroy did everything he could to keep that track going. Look at the car counts that he had back in the day. You couldn't fit another racecar in the pits on any given saturday night. Gary too. When Gary was part owner of the track he gave his all. Things ran smooth when Gary was there and Bobby stayed in Tampa. Drivers got paid when Gary was there, Bobby ran off with the cash and the checkbook just before finish of a late model race on a Sunday afternoon because he apparently needed the money more then the guys who raced and drew in the crowd. Bobby turned the race track into a Circus and look he sold it to another clown who has no idea how to run a business. And as for you Carol Wicks, the great and powerful Oz.... you are as two faced as they come. You are on the side of whoever is winning at the moment. Your love is not for the sport it is for whoever has the track at the moment.
