        Linda/Kevin/Mike
I have not said one thing About you or Kevin or Mike about anything I was wonder how long it would be for someone to get my name into all this

All I did was put up a post of TV news But since you all want to drag my name into this Linda which you were not part of the staff when I left so you have no idea what was said on my deals at the end.

1> I offer to sale what I had at the track when I left Kevin tok me no and I had 10 day to remove so I did ( this was said in Kevin shed with Mike and Booby the night i resisned which it was the first Time i was told the track was sold to Kevin)

2> I come with a list of what I was taking Bobby was given a copy and the Airport was given a copy before I moved anything of the land. I was told I had to leave the front frence I had put up which I did.

3> Kevin run of Jenifer of the land that run the go kart program gave just a few hours to move her items.

        4. The wall you so go it was a 30 feet complete bar that I put in and put 4 pc of paneling up on top of it to make it look like a wall I also asked if they wanted me to leave it there and I was told take the damm thing out by Kevin and Bobby.

        5. The speaker were not just ripped out either I will not say how took then down for me that day I was there but he did it very neat and like a pro that he is.

        6. I bought a lot of the part in the part store but I left them all there when I Left.

        7. I left the last two 55 gal drum of fuel I had bought.

        8. All the lights were working just fine the last race we had there befroe Kevin took over.

I have no idea what Kevin did or did not put in there which I really dont care.
Just my thought If I was in Kevins shoe I would be handling it a different way thats for sure. I would have call the airport personal over and had them sign off on a list of what I was taking not lock everyone out and take what I wont too to make it look like I was doing something I should not be doing what does he have to hide???? If he is only taking is own things,

The battle over the higher rent was going on from day one when Kevin took over It was a big Issue when I was there on what to do about it and talking with the Airport every week on the matter.

Kevin Williams own words I am buying the track from Bobby to save another track from going away and it has alway been my home track and I am very pround to keep it up and running for all the fan and driver for years. I intend keep the track here very ever. Now In the last month his coments has been he will be the last owner that will run the speedway.

Just my thoughts on this matter

my feeling is the airport people mistreated the racers more than anyone..i also know kevin williams wanted to continue to operate pgs..by raising the rent and failure to negotiate a fair price, kevin was forced into a bad situation..but he turned adversity into opportunity by purchasing desota...leaving the south florida racers the losers by having to travel a longer, more costly distance to race....i am disappointed by the airport authority not taking into consideration the economic boost pgs gave the area and cost of travel it created for the racers..bottom line is nobody wins..the racers lose a good track, kevin williams is forced to spend money for relocating and the airport folks lose a cash paying customer...it reminds me of our federal government borrowing money from china then loaning it to another country..it just dont make sense, just like the airport authority charging rental prices that are not feasible..these remarks are just my opinion,i just see the racers taking a beating who enjoyed the venue.

Common Grammar Mistakes That Make You Look Dumb
March 04, 2013Like (1,083) Comment (622)As easy as these mistakes are to make, they are also easy to catch. Luckily, they are also easy to fix!

When applying for a job, pitching an idea, communicating with a client, or selling a prospect, the smallest mistakes can kill the deal. Not only will you look unprofessional and careless, you could also look dumb!

I often get pitched ideas for a new business, but my perception of the person behind a potentially great idea might be completely thrown off if that person makes a dumb grammar mistake in an email. How can you expect me to think of you as a professional if you can’t take the time to double check your grammar? Or maybe you simply don’t know the write (got you!) rules.

With the number of emails we send every day, it’s now more important than ever to double check what we are sending. I’ve highlighted a few of the most common errors people make, all of which should be avoided.

              1. You’re vs. Your

You are = You’re. For example, “You’re officially part of the club. Congratulations!”

Related to you = Your. For example, “Thank you. Your efforts have undeniably increased our revenue stream”

Biggest common mistake: Your welcome. Should be You’re welcome!

              2. They’re vs. Their vs. There
They are = They’re. For example: “They’re joining us for dinner Friday evening, so be sure and purchase enough red and white wine for the entire group”

Belonging to them = Their. For example: “Their dedication was simply remarkable, and I would work with them again in a heartbeat”

Regarding a location = There. For example: “I will leave the envelope over there”

              3. Lose vs. Loose

Opposite of win = Lose. For example: “I have a feeling the Bulls are going to lose this game”

Opposite of tight = Loose. For example: “Please fix the loose handle immediately”

              4. It’s vs. Its

Short for it is or it has = It’s. For example: “This is going to change the way we view this industry. It’s earth-shattering!”

Possessive form of it = Its. For example: “A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on” - Winston Churchill

              5. Effect vs. Affect

A result = Effect. For example: “The lighting had a major effect on productivity levels. With more natural light in the room, employees appear more inspired”

To influence = Affect. For example: “The new HR team is affecting employees’ motivation, and the feedback we have been receiving is overwhelmingly positive!”

              6. Alot

This word does not exist What you are trying to say is “a lot” for example, maybe you have a lot of marketing experience. Additionally, it is unprofessional. Try replacing this with words like “ample” or “x years of marketing experience”.

              7. Then vs. Than
Time related =Then. For example: “We are looking forward to meeting you then”

Comparison related =Than. For example: “I much prefer to meet in my area, rather than yours, as mine has a wide variety of restaurants and coffee shops”

Saying “I have more to offer then that” to an investor won’t lead to your next round of funding.

Save this guide. Reference it. Don’t let being in a rush make you look like a fool. Edit your work, or ask someone else to glance at it for you. These errors may seem insignificant, but your intelligence will be questioned when these mistakes are discovered...and they will be.

What common mistakes do you see? Does it change your perception of the person that made them? Please comment below.

To my understanding, anything built on 'leased land' becomes property of the land owner. Once you build it, you cannot take it with you later on.

If you rent a house and build a porch on it, it becomes the property of the landlord, not the tenant.

Cows aren't a 'permanent structure' and don't fall into the same laws.

In this case, it looks to me like lights, concession equipment, garbage cans, etc could be removed. Grandstands, sheds, concession stands, etc. are all considered 'permanent' and not removable by law.

I think he's opening up a can of worms that will come back to bite him.

Take the time to read & UNDERSTAND legal contracts. Doesn't sound like the lease agreement was understood fully, created this mess in the first place, and may become much worse if he's removing things that he has NO right to do.

Two very different things when defined "legally"...

                          Land

                          5. Law
                          a. A tract that may be owned, together with everything growing or constructed on it.
                          b. A landed estate.
                          6.
                          a. An agricultural or farming area: wanted to buy a house on the land.
                          b. Farming considered as a way of life: "The 'back to the land movement' began a couple years ago at the peak of South Korea's economic development and has roots in environmentalism and Buddhist philosophy." (Michael Baker).
                          7. An area or realm: the land of make-believe; the land of television.
                          8. The raised portion of a grooved surface, as on a phonograph record.
                          v. land·ed, land·ing, lands
                          v.tr.

                          Property

                          prop·er·ty (prpr-t)
                          n. pl. prop·er·ties
                          1.
                          a. Something owned; a possession.
                          b. A piece of real estate: has a swimming pool on the property.
                          c. Something tangible or intangible to which its owner has legal title: properties such as copyrights and trademarks.
                          d. Possessions considered as a group.
                          2. The right of ownership; title.
                          3. An article, except costumes and scenery, that appears on the stage or on screen during a dramatic performance.
                          4.
                          a. A characteristic trait or peculiarity, especially one serving to define or describe its possessor.
                          b. A characteristic attribute possessed by all members of a class. See Synonyms at quality.
                          5. A special capability or power; a virtue: the chemical properties of a metal.

Probably not too smart to start out an argument of legalese with the words "I thought".....it's kinda like that assume thing.

First of all, Kevin is not in any trouble with the law for taking what belongs to him. People forget he wanted to continue to run PGS but it was the greed from the airport that already had their minds made up that wasnt going to happen. First of all, does Gary Laplant forget ALL THE THINGS that he took from PGS when kevin bought it from Bobby? He wasnt even the owner and took every single thing he put into the place, including a wall that was put up in the concession because he paid for it, that's right, tore it down and left a mess. Took all the speakers, took all the garbage cans and benches because he said he bought all that stuff from Lakeland?? Kevin let him take it all. Kevin bought the track and had to replace many many things to just open. ALL THE CONCESSION EQUIPMENT, was either broken and unsafe or RAT INFESTED. Kevin got rid of it all, pressure washed the entire place, spent a lot of money to get rid of the rats that were running all over the place, bought ALL NEW EQUIPMENT for the concession and much much more to run a clean safe place. Twenty lights were burnt out on the light poles around the tracks racing surface, I know because the electrician bought not just bulbs but fixtures and had a bucket truck there for days to fix all the lighting. Had to buy all new speakers to replace the ones that were ripped out all around the track by gary laplant, New fencing to push back the pit area because the new road took away over 50 % of fan parking. I worked at the track for 2 full years and saw all this for myself first hand. Kevin bought a building for his Legend series that was at PGS as their home track because there was not one building on the property that didnt leak or was safe enough to keep his Legends in. Bleacher boards that were bought by the truck load every week to replace the old broken ones that were there and unsafe. I could go on and on and that is not my point to this, every owner through the years has sold and bought the track. Kevin bought it and put the most amount of money into it and the airport wants to run it. Why didnt the airport buy it from him???? they pretty much said thanks for making this a great track, now we will take over????????????? DO YOU REALLY THINK HE WANTED TO DO THIS????????? the airport wanted him to walk away with NOTHING and give them everything he worked and paid for. Yes I am angry, I have been going to that track since day one and have worked there for many years and saw some owners get away with a lot and the one person I saw do everything the right way gets the worst end. Kevin is not taking everything, just what he paid for. The airport forced his hand and he bought another race track because he knew that they wanted it and now they got it. It is a sad day but the airport did this and now “some” who did far worst, think he is the bad guy??? kevin saved Punta Gorda Speedway and now he is saving Desoto, the only difference is, he and Mike own it and no one can take it after they make it the best track in the state, what they wanted to do PGS., sorry about all this being long but yea I am mad, this whole thing stinks.
                            well said ms linda...
me myself will be supporting kevin at the new track!!! see ya soon
