I have a feeling this is going to hurt OSW and NSS being that racers are not allowed to race if they do not buy a license. If guys aren't going to race there on a regular basis, they aren't going to show up on an off week from another track if they have to spend an extra $95 or $190 to race once or twice a year.

Think about the out of towners for the Gov Cup......this just added $190 to their bill......and I guess that will mean speedweeks also.......

And I saw on another thread that there will be no traveling series events either. No FUPS or TBARA i guess either.......

I can't see this helping really to change a few signs to NASCAR and offer a little better insurance to the drivers who hopefully don't ever need it. From what I understand this is actually a financial savings to Robert.

Out of towners can buy a 10 day license for like $25. That should elimnate the argument that the Gov Cup is gonna suffer because of Nascar.

OSW didn't completely write off other series either. They would just have self insure for events not sanctioned by Nascar.

If i am may say something the Act tour races quite a few tours all thru New England at: Stafford, Thompson,NSS, Alburndale and quite a few others so let's hope it will not hurt OSW or NSS.

Most of them already have a NASCAR license.
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.

I dont think there is any restrictions on running non nascar sanctioned events at a nascar sanctioned track. Kalamazoo Speedway run several non nascar events as did several other nascar sanctioned tracks up north. Dont know of any reason they cannot do something like the FUP deal but maybe that is the tracks choice for some reason, that I would not know.

Beech Ridge in Maine, Nascar sanctioned track for years, runs PASS and ACT tour races.

Nascar will not forbid you to run non Nascar series race, BUT, let's say as an exemple, there is a Nascar Modified Series in your area, competing against one other Non Nascar Modified series, they would certainly not appreciate if you choose the other one instead of theirs.

The last season Ocala was paved, they rotated divisions and I think it worked out great and Ocala always had the pits packed (compared to other asphalt tracks within an hour or so). I thought they were crazy for going to dirt - proves what I know... Get this, there are going to be 3, THREE, tracks within 70-80 minutes of each other that are going to run the same rules (at least in their Emod divisions) so you are not contrained to a single track and Ocala is again going to rotate their Emods on a schedule. What a concept.
