A while back they got permission to clear the land behind the oval track pits and I thought were going to build a dirt track there. After the trees were cleared another branch of local government changed their mind and shut it down. At least, that is what I remember. I am sure I will be corrected if I am wrong

I guess maybe I am hoping for too much too quick but I wish it could return to how it was when I first started going, when both sides of stands were pretty full and I got to watch "The Damn Yankee" in his yellow Monte Carlo among many others in full size fields in each class.

We all want the track to do better, and I know we love to remember the "old days". I've got a friendly reminder for you, the future will not look like the past. There will be no more big fields of Monte Carlos and Chevelles. We have to get used to the idea of Saturns, Toyotas, Hondas, Legend cars and all kinds of pre-fab, jig built racers.

It won't be bad, but it will be different.
