First, thanks to everyone who contributed to this list, i look forward to going over to New Smyrna again this year.
Reading through the pre-entries, it occurs to me that this is maybe the only place fans can get this information. It also occurs to me that track promoters and owners who are truly interested in putting folks in the stands at New Smyrna would compile the racers names we have here and share them with local newspapers throughout Central Florida. People who aren't necessarily rabid race fans will never see this web site, or others like it. And they also won't see twitter or face book posts because they aren't looking for them.
Everybody reads the sports section of their local paper and a story about Speedweeks at NSS along with a complete list of entrants might go a long way toward putting casual or curious fans into the bleachers.
How many local newspapers are there from Jacksonville to Tampa? And how many people read the sports sections of all of those papers. Far more than NSS could possibly hold.
And of course there are hundreds of radio stations in Florida looking for sports news to report.
