you make it sound pretty black and white, but the problem is, it needs to be in writting in the rule book, dont you agree?? after that meeting, there should have been an e-mail sent to all the tracks and car owners and drivers telling them that??

Plenty of phone numbers available to seek council as well as a party standing in the tech area......pretty black and white to me....
Considering Rex is claiming ownership of the FUP rulebook I would have though him to be more knowledgable than anyone. And do you really think since EVERY other racetrack in the state (including Pensacola) as well as the Series itself had the Koury seal list.......are you going to continue to stand behind the ignorance theory that Auburndale was kept out???Last edited by Tim; 10-05-2011, 04:15 PM.You can educate the ignorant......but you cant fix stupid

Tim, I may be ignorant, but if I was in there, I would have took my engine out for 5 grand, just to prove my point.
I know you are gonna say, if the engine was pulled, the track would of dq'ed or sabatoged it??
I was in tech in Orlando a few months ago when there were some axle issues with a car, I believe "some counnsel" was called then?? Is that what you are talking about??
It is nice haveing a debate with you, but I dont think we are ever gonna see eye to eye......

There was no reason to pull the motor...it was already disqualified.........
You seem to assume that if the motor was pulled and found legal that the finish would stand.....never was gonna happen....the winner was already pronounced at that point.....
again so why pull the motor???
Are we gonna see eye to eye??? NOOOO.....Quit looking at my crotch......sorryYou can educate the ignorant......but you cant fix stupid

spec motors
The answer is simple:
NO spec motors!
For the racer:
Follow the rules at whatever track you are running. Speak up if you think they are unfair, but do NOT revolt. Remember, they need your income and the income of fans coming in to survive. You are there to excite the fans and help the track make a living. Remember, ci=hp and handling is even better. A better driver can overcome a lot. Wouldn't you rather win legally and feel really good than to cheat for a hollow victory?
For the tracks:
Drop the spec motor rules, then it doesn't matter if it is sealed or not. Pull it if it is legally challenged or a part of your inspection. Tear it down and check it. Suggest all tracks adopt a universal rule book so the racers can go where they are treated fairly. No, you won't get a full field every night, but the racers will come back if they believe it is fair for all. Require the ci and/or weight on the hood and cause the bigger ci to have more weight.
Other:
It does not help with this type of bickering. A good fight on the straight-a-way will bring more fans. A good fight in the pitts brings nothing. Sad thought!

Dave, The spec engine program is the only thing keeping late model racing alive. Your theory would work for tracks like a-dale and citrus only. Any tracks bigger then that and it would be back to the 40-50 thousand dollar engines, car count would fall off fast.
the axle, I can not talk about anymore.....ask tim....lol
