The grooved tires last a little longer, as far as wear but not performance, probably because they are on a 2400-2500 pound car and not a 3000 + pound car. They don't heat cycle any better than the slicks (2 nites and they are done). Maybe people just have it in their heads they last longer and so everybody is just running them longer, thus everyone is on the same tire. You bolt 4 new one's on against someone that has 5-6 shows on their tires and see what happens.

I race against alot of different mods and there ideas. some guys love the treaded and some hate em. I hate the dam things but its the cards that have been delt. I can agree with you from experiance that the 3000 lb car likes them way more than the 2500 lb car.
