Mark....

i have been planning this race for Dennis for close to a year. i worked with Kevin to find a suitable date... NO ONE had their dates picked at that time. we purposely did that so we didnt conflict with anyone. we pay attention to our track and we dont try to bump heads with such a big race as the Gov. Cup... if anything, we hope to have a really good turnout and now im a little worried. i didnt realize we had picked the same date. besides the fact that we are clear across the state. i think there are plenty of drivers to go around. im sorry if it seems like we rained on your parade. didnt mean to. no matter what date we pick for anything it seems like someone else is having the same thing. should we stop trying? NOT!
no matter what anyone tries to do to make things better someone always comes on here to make it suck. we all know that trying to "work together" isnt gonna happen! too many tracks, too many drivers, too many opinions of how things should be. so kevin is trying to survive and his main purpose was not to make a profit but to make racing affordable and fun for families. he is not a greedy man and he has kept all of his promises... he even paid drivers money previous owners owed them!!! im sick and tired of a bunch of people who constantly berate Kevin...especially people who know NOTHING about Kevin or our track. some of you basically base your opinions on what you read on this message board. thats rediculous...he had a very successful first year....this wasnt his fault Mark... we both just picked the nearest date we could think of considering warmer weather etc...we also wanted to get thru the holidays and speed week... you cant have every damn big event in racing Mark...we have a right to try to bring something special to SW Florida... just my opinion and i dont mean to sound disrespectful...see what happened with the post the guy who wanted his car detailed ... everyone tried to get his business. thats just the way it is. the guy will make the final decision. ;-)

Carol, I know where the track is. I have inlaws that live there. John and his son enjoy going to the track very much. They have an airshow across from the street basically every yr. We all went 2 yrs ago.
, it was awesome! Wife works as a Deli-Manager for wal-mart so can work most any city she wants seeing how her deli (Port Oranges) runs # 20-25 every month in sales across the country. Theres close to 4000 Super Wal-Marts in the country and it pretty easy to start a pest control company IF you have the State licenses. We love the area over there but getting a little old to be starting a new business. But we have said for a long time we need to come over and see how its done over there.

Carol... grow up... the Governor's Cup has been on the SAME weekend for how many years?

As for the Pete Orr... The previous poster was wrong... the date is 2/5/11 NOT 3/5/11.

Your bitchy little attitude ("you can't have every big race") and constant ass kissing of whoever is running PGS gets old.

The Governor's Cup has NOTHING to do with the combined series, the fast series or even the "alliance" for that matter. So now one of the biggest races in the State (regardless of track) gets thrown into a pissing match over egos and that's ok because someone else threw the first stone?

So you are telling me you had no clue when it was when you made your schedule or you just didn't care... You claim both in your post so pick one.

There is a reason I don't post here often and it can be summed up in one word - HYPOCRISY!

So I guess as long as it's not FASCAR scheduling on top of someone it's okay because they are "so far apart"... Give me a break... If FASCAR scheduled on top of ANY big race ANYWHERE in the southeast, regardless of the reasoning behind it, this place would light up quicker and brighter than a Christmas Tree.

Keep up the good fight Carol... On the bright side... You can just copy and paste every post you have ever made about Bobby Diehl and just change the name to save yourself a whole lot of typing!

And for the record, I never said anything about Kevin... I simply posed a question and asked if I was missing something.

-Mark aka Tin Man!

Every one is not picking on FASCAR!!
Give the guy a break . So he doesent think like you . He is new in the track busness give him a chance to fix thing before you shoot him.
If u think this has something to do wirh Wayne wake up, he comes head on its in his blood.
He races for a living and needs to atend all of the races. The fans want to go th those races that he is at to cheer or boo him. We need both and he knows it.

Boy i hate to say Jeff is right. Dont let it go to your head.

Mark.

never expected such an ignorant response from you. i was polite and honest. i am not a hypocrite. i love PGS aka lots of names. i support it 100% ... when things are good i give praise. when they arent good i do what i can to help it get better. it isnt about all you egotistical critical nasty ppl who love to hurt and demeanor people. I DIDNT KNOW IT WAS THE GOV... CUP!!!!! im almost 70 and i try as hard as i can but i am not able to keep up with all of this. i simply wanted to honor a man who is loved by so many....IF these 2 races conflict i will talk to Kevin and TRY to fix it. if i cant fix it then i will have to live with what might be a bad choice. but if its a good choice you can live with it instead. i happen to think alot of Robert Hart . He has ALWAYS treated me with kindness and respect. i would not have scheduled on a date he had planned.... look back and see when i posted about a race for Dennis. I SPECIFICALLY SAID I HAD TO CHANGE THE TRACK AND DATE THIS RACE WAS PLANNED FOR!!!!! why didnt you call me and remind me of the date. i could have easily fixed it way back then... were ya sleepin?
you need to TRY to find some manners.
is there a reason why some of you HAVE to call ppl bad names and cant carry on a conversation without insults. Mark... you could have emailed me and conferred. but you decided to come on here and show your ass... oooops... your tush...
and for all of you who continually bash Wayne... live with it. Wayne and dickie know more about racing than any of you will ever know. they tried their best to HELP.... no wonder no one wants to try. i get pissed when Wayne wins every race...hahahaha but you cant deny he is one of the best...i hope he brings it all to Punta Gorda. he sure is welcomed... hes not a greedy vampire. he is promoting something he believes will help! The Andersons will go down in racing history and the rest of us wont even be a memory. so YOU Mark and the rest of the naysayers should stop your bitchy attitude and crying. i dont have to copy and paste... rofllllll as you can see... i CAN & WILL say what i want... and i am not afraid nor intimidated by any of you. ya ran off every single woman who ever posted. i will go to my grave trying to support racing. so live with it.
hey mark... are you afraid that we might get some late model cars? ;-)
i dont have a bitchy attitude mark... unless you put my back up against the wall. i dont give a crap what ppl have to say when they are nasty but i DO listen and pay attention to serious well mannered ppl who do support their tracks and this sport. so with that said young man... GPUAR! I will try to do whats right.
carolwicks aka OZ
P.S.
Bobby Diehl has been my friend for many many years and he always will be. why do you ppl continually have to beat up a broken man? i dont drop my friends because they make mistakes. i made one once...;-) Bobby originally tried to make CCMP a real fun race track. he was lied to, stolen from and hurt by alot of ppl he trusted. when he finally got his back against the wall and couldnt get out things really turned sour. tragic... but we still have a race track thanks to Kevin and Mike and the airport... a great one... he didnt hurt us. he is the one hurt. so why cant you just leave him alone. he lost his greatest love and he is sad and broke. when Jesus was dying on the cross and loving us thru His suffering one of the guards threw a spear into His side to finish Him off.... how do you feel about that guard? Bobby has enough spears in his side.... Please....
This is Christmas. cant we all try to get along for one special HOLYday? im sorry if i was rude but im human.

Mark. i have always been very fond of you... this really upsets me. you should have called me and all this would have been avoided. You know me well enough to know i would not be stupid enough to go up against the Governors Cup intentionally...i drove for 3.5 hours every year to see that race!..can we end this now and i promise i will TRY to fix it. i DEFINITELY would never ever go up against the OWM class. i love them and would never hurt any of them. thats a given. SLM guys i called had all said they would come but then i had to change everything. i never thought all this would happen. it really stinks. so lets just stick with the issues and try to work this out... all i want to do is memorialize a man loved by the racing family.. thats all. ;-( I apologize for showing My tush... so much stress...

Damn People!!!

Seems like every time someone gets on here to post something GOOD about a track, a better payout or just something for the betterment of the sport, someone starts throwing rocks and wizzing in someone's cherrios!!

What's done is done. Your boo-hooing and moaning is not going to change someone's final decision. The only thing that will change someone's mind is what race to go to. So who loses?

It is what it is. Get over it and live with it...

hope you are wrong. this is a season for joy and caring...it is a season to honor Christ and TRY to live by His lessons. im tired of fighting. i over reacted and i am sorry i put it all out here but i felt hurt. when Mama gets hurt the stuff hits the fan. i just tossed the fan into the trash where it belongs. ;-)

I've bought my popcorn and my Raisinets...

...but I've seen this movie WAAYYYYY too many times before. Always with the same damn ending:

After barreling down the tracks out of control the big, ancient steam locomotive gets thrown in reverse and theres a lot of noise and screeching and then the confused engineer jumps out apologizing for every thing that went wrong but never, ever acknowledges the main underlying problem that the big, loud engine in the locomotive has damaged bearings and that there's a bunch of loose wiring in the communications car.

After the dust settles and the crowd starts to disperse, everyone just walks away shaking their heads while laughing about the misguided, daffy engineer.

I love a movie that is a metaphor for the things in my life.

Plus, it was the matinee.
