Very intelligent race driven by David Rogers. In my opinion, he drove about the fourth fastest car to a win. Overall, a very good show with a lot of fast cars and talented drivers.

The bad: took way too long to get the show on the road, to the point of being
infuriating. Heard many expressing this opinion. That said, it was still worth
        my time and money.

Tim, the governor bailed and was not there (too bad, I wanted to boo him in person). Instead, the Grand Marshall was a REAL race supporter, former driver and track owner, US Representative Bill Posey!

If you weren't there, you missed a great race. Forget the amount of cars that finished or were DQ'D. It was the best Fla race I've seen for a long time.
I really enjoyed seeing Fenton and family, Whitey Wescott, Kenny Faircloth, OSF and the Karnac posters, most of whom I had not met before. It was well worth the price of admission and loss of sleep. I had been up 24 hours before I got home.

It was good to see you again also Kenny.

Always enjoy the chance to catch up man!

For those that missed it, it was a great race and well
worth the time and effort IMHO.

Congrats to the veteran Rogers for the win and mega-kudos
to my buddy Joe for staying up there in contention all night long.

That was a great effort Joe!

Finally, thanks to Mark, Kim and NSS for the courtesy
extended to my family and myself for the race last night,
                I appreciated it.

Hey Jim... How many other former winners (that weren't actually in the race this year) were there? I know Dumont Smith was going and that Robert Hamke was there with his "house" car...

Seems to me that if the teams are "slow" getting to tech by the posted time, they should not be allowed to qualify... Only cars in line by the cut-off time can qualify... the rest go thru tech and start at the rear...

Hey Moe, Just because I didn't cry all day Sun because I didn't have to wait almost 2 hrs for the race to start and then watch 10 cars race for the finish, only to see 2-3 dq'd well excuse me!!! Also, I didn't say it was the tracks fault, so why don't you learn to read? Half the BS you and Boney had with Nerone was because you clowns see what you want in a post, not whats in it!! So Moe, are you Deputy Marshall or just a lowly deputy??

GREAT race...!!! Quite a few impressive performances this weekend, starting with Joe Winchell's last corner - last lap pass for the win in the Limited Lates. Getting a 3rd in the Cup race was icing on the cake.

Also very impressed with the outsiders that came to this event. Jimmy Weller on the pole and an early race leader, Aaron Pierce (first time at the track) looked very good until something in the right front broke putting him in the wall. Becca Kasten is very talented, and it showed this week. Having Hall of Famer Steve Carlson in her corner didn't hurt either.

Steven Nasse... this kid is for REAL. He's fast in ANY class he runs, and will be a name to watch for in coming years. However, I think he sort of got shafted by the Tech dept. It was reported that he had a nose configuration problem that "he was told on Friday to fix it". If that's the case, why did the pass him through Tech on Saturday afternoon in the first place??? If it wasn't changed, why was it allowed through? THEY were the ones that OK'ed him to start the race, and he obviously didn't change it DURING the race. Seems like a cheap-ass way to keep his money.

Jeff Choquette... came from 21st to the lead. Passed some damn good cars to get there too.

David Rogers... never looked strong until he needed to. Schooled the hell out of Nasse, who was VERY gun-shy, on the last restart.

The crowd was OUTSTANDING. Couldn't see the rest of the parking lot from where the BBQ was, but I could tell it was more full than I had seen in years... possibly EVER.

Our annual "what lap does Yoho crash on" pool had a wrench thrown in it... he didn't come this year! We had to revert to Plan-B, which was to pick the car starting dead last, which turned out to be Chad Pierce in the Vince Keeler #7. I was SURE that he was gonna start-n-park to collect the $600 for starting. To his credit, Chad actually RACED and was passing cars at the beginning. A lap 86 crash took him out, and cost Keeler a race car. Jeff Cole won the HUGE payout of $22 from our party group. He had lap 90 (I was 118, go figure).

This race went a very long way towards re-establishing itself as a premier event. I made a point of Thanking each of the long-haul racers for supporting this, and what it means to a long-time fan like myself that misses the old days when cars would come from several different states to mix it up with our locals. Every one of them told me how much they LOVED this track, and were having a blast. I don't know the motor rules for this race, but it sure seemed to give a LOT of people an honest chance for a top finish, or possibly a win. There were about 20 cars that could've won if it was THEIR day. For too long now, outsiders wouldn't bother because they couldn't run competetively against these Florida "spec" motors. Why come here to run 8th???

I had sooooo much fun, and can't wait for next years event, where I think we'll see a bunch more outsiders and all of the top Florida cars that we had this year.

Definitely in my top-3 best races of 2010.

DITTO Jerry. Great race and a packed house. My day,as you know, started rather strange. Blowing a right front tire on the RV at 60mph on a curve.(had a flashback from the last time that happened and hitting turn 4 wall at CMP). Managed to stay off the brake and slowly steer off the road...woke my wife up though(she always sleeps when I drive).
Great to see all our usual BBQ fans there and a few new ones.
                        See you at the 'reunion'.

RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.

Tuna wouldn't know a good race, even if you toke him to one!

I like your betting on the last place car crashing, but make no mistake about Chad. If he's racing, he'd never live down a start and park. We've started many a race last for various reasons and always make it to the front. 32nd to ~17th at the time of somebody else's mess ain't to shabby. The car was good, he said he didn't need to push it so he was waiting for the field to thin itself (as ususally happens). And mostly cosmetic damage, and some suspension; no thanks to Cope.

Oh yeah, then he won the truck race just for fun

Congrats to everyone! I listened to the race from Colorado and it really sounded like it was a great field and a great race! Eveyone at NSS should be very proud.

One question though, I heard that the rules package that they used to get all the cars there, and be competitive, is NOT what they are going to use for Speedweeks...is this true?

It would be a shame, if this is true, to gain all this momentum with great competition, good car counts and out of towners...and then change the rules for Speedweeks. I was hoping to see the same kind of energy, enthusiasm and car counts during February.

It will be interesting to see what really happens...I'll be there regardless!
