Ed im trying to keep my composure with you, you started this little tiff a while back when tou were putting false info about a certain person i HELPED a while back. He was aware of everything that went on with that car! you know what im talking about. as for the bleeder, i was being rushed that day while working in an unfamilar shop on a house call! I went to there house to rebuild a front end where there were no tools, and etc. You can imagine what thats like, a big scramble. Especially when multiple people are working on the car that you dont know! He did win two races after that might i ad. Your right, enjoy your family congrats on the new born. If ever intrested in driving again we have a rental program from superstock to super late. thanks, Rob

Hey Rob, actually the comments I made at the end of last season were said jokingly, I apologize if you took offense. If there was a problem I am at the track all the time and all you had to do was talk to me.
I don't really understand why you got upset when I said "there is no doubt in my mind that you were racing in the absolute best equipment out there". You know that and that is why your are so pissed, because if you had taken your time to pass the knucklehead you would have been able to catch David. I did the same exact thing the last time I raced. With out a doubt I had the fastest car on the track but got a little impatient with an idiot. If you really knew me you would know that there isn't a cocky bone in my body. That one race that I won I don't care if we were running bandolero times. I drove my ass off with very limited laps in a new car. A win is a win and I will take it anyway I can get it.

As I've said many times before I believe in handicapping based on finishes over the past three weeks. Drivers who have not faired well start up front. Guys who have done well are in the back. Too many of you are babied, primadonnas qualifying by time trials, and always getting to start up front.

Great drivers like Richie Evans, Bugs Stevens, Jerry Cook, Bob Polverari, Reggie Ruggiero, Maynard Troyer, Mike Stefanik, Ed Flemke, Rene Charland, Jocko Maggiacomo, Buddy Krebs, Gene Bergin, Leo Cleary and I could go on and on about REAL race car drivers who started in the back of fields and had the patience and skill to drive there way up from the back of the pack to register wins. They could deal with slower cars and less experienced drivers, they didn't crash, but for some reason you guys haven't mastered that ability. I wonder why???

This also assures the fans of seeing great racing instead of a merry-go-round with no passing going on.

John, I Grew Up Around The Familiys Of Some Of The Guys You Mention Here Racing At Wall Stadium With My Old Man In A Big Block Modified When " Men Were Men" Or Whatever. Ive Raced And Won From The Back As Well. I Actually Enjoy Starting From The Rear At Times. When You Race For A Bigger Prize Where Qualifying Is Implemented, Put A Quick Qualifying Tune In The Car, Set Fast Time And Get Put To The Rear. Just Dumb. We Should Have Just Drew A Pill Why Bother With Qualifying? Just Wasting Time And Tires. Whatever

"when we use to let anonymus people drive the car, there was a special weapon under the hood!"

This kills me.... the same guy that complains about inverts, also admits to cheating himself!

Do you reallllly need to sink to the level of admitted cheating to win Super Stock races? Remind us again how great of a car builder & set-up man you guys are.

You have to realize that I was brought up on racing in New England and Eastern New York where there are sanctioning bodies that tracks join, and not tracks that were independent of sanctioning as is the case with Florida tracks.

For the most part asphalt tracks are NASCAR sanctioned and dirt tracks run under D.I.R.T.

There were and still are traveling series such as the NASCAR Modified Tour, and the NASCAR North Late Models. Yes, qualifying for these types of races are through time trials, but lineups were not automatically set up by the time trial results. Fields are inverted by a drawing, much the same as is done here in Florida. First six cars, or four cars or what ever being inverted.

I still feel that for fan enjoyment, even with a series, that handicapping based on last three races is the way to go. It does away with boring merry-go-round races. It assures excitement for the fans seeing the accomplished drivers thread their way up from the back of the pack into contention for a win.

To my way of thinking time trials and determining starting lineups from them only assures a dull race. Remember racing is really entertainment and people attending the races want to be entertained.

I contend that racing in Florida would be much better if tracks were sanctioned by NASCAR or in the case of dirt tracks one of the dirt sanctioning bodies. Every track would be working on the same page, there would be camaraderie and conflicts would be avoided because the sanctioning bodies would assure no conflicts with big races. It also would be easier for tracks and car owners to get sponsors when you have a highly recognizable, big name sanctioning body affiliation.

It would also be nice to see tracks within close proximity of themselves run on different nights One run on Friday night, one on Saturday night, and a third on Sunday evenings or some other weekday night. Three tracks in New England come immediately to mind that do this, Stafford Motor Speedway on Friday, Monadnock Speedway on Saturday, and Thompson International Speedway on Sunday and they made it work. An option for Saturday could be Waterford Speedbowl instead of Monadnock. In recent years Thompson switched to Thursday nights and it seems to work well for them. All the mentioned tracks are NASCAR sanctioned tracks. The NASCAR sanctioning, I feel, is what makes it all work so well.

Hey John, you mentioned some pretty impressive drivers there!! Funny, Eddie Flemke, Gene Bergin, (hope he's o'k) Bugs Stevens, (theres a character) plus all 3 Bodine Brothers and probably others you mentioned drove for my friend in the Northern Mod. series yrs ago. He's the one whose driver, and him as a car owner, that got screwed at OSW. He built the first Northern Mod with a pinto body, bet you know him!! Pls don't mention his name here though. Thanks.

You're wrong, It's still cheating. It's just not a disqualification. If you think everyone cheats, you're hanging around the wrong bunch. Just curious, how many Nascar "Cup" cars do you think are cheating every week?
