  • Short Tracks Only--

    We all know of the Super Speedway deaths occured while driving in a race, of some of our greatest Stock-Car racers ever. As greusome of a topic this may be.

    Short Tracks only; dirt and/or asphalt;

    What drivers lost their lives in a short track race, and what Raceways and dates did thay occur?

    --Sammy Sessions, at Terra Haute Dirt in the mid 70's.
    --John Blewwitt III, at Thompson Int'l, in 2007.
    --Bob Sweikert, at Salem in 1956.
    --Rich Vogler, Salem Speedway, in 1990.

                  Gary J: Good friend of mine Bill Bryant was doing the video at that time and showed me a tape of that accident involving Wild Bill Revard, it was a nasty wreck. God Speed to all the great drivers that we have lost in the past

                    what do you mean by short tracks? less than a 1/2 mi? under 5/8 mi?

                    from your other thread, i would think that NSS belongs over there.

                      I remember hearing of a figure8 driver killed leading a race at Auburndale I think it was. In the late 80's or early 90's. But I don't remember his name.
