Sounds like a great show of people and I'm sure you guys had fun...Hope to get in on the next one for sure.

With that many showing up, I'm surprised the management of the track didn't break down and supply at least one of those famous round sandwiches from Publix.
Thank a Police Officer for what they do........... OSF:

        You mean one of these?

Sadly someone had already supplied one, and as you can no doubt tell, one of those is enough for any party.

        (apologies for the terrible picture!)

The only person I saw eating it was Jimmy McKinley. Strangely he's not been on here at all today. I hope he's OK...

Now that is one proud man holding that Round Sandwich. He's as proud as he would be if he made it.

If Todd McCreary had made it, it would have been a cheese and cinnamon sandwich. Apparently he takes those to snack on whenever he runs a figure of eight race...

I'm here, I'm fine, as is Kyla (my fiance'), who actually made it out on the track for a few laps last night as well. I even got a win last night (got the ticket and pics and video - to prove it, too )! Had an absolute *blast* last night, and hope to get to some more of these. Sorry I didn't know everyone there; I only know a few Karnacians by face (and *man*....what faces...LOL...). Dave Westerman was there as well, but didn't get out on the track. He did, however, run a nice raffle drawing for some vintage NA$CAR programs.

Would have loved to meet face-to-face with some of y'all (T-Mac, Ron with that crazy f-'in' helmet...LMAO) and more. Couldn't tell ya who Keeler was, Duane, or any of those guys. But still, for the trip up, we had an absolutely great time.

Andy, great to meet you as well; yep...we're a buncha rednecks. You sure you wanna hang out with us some more...??? LOL

Mark Keeler was the guy who was handed a booster cushion by the track staff before his first race. No, seriously! He also had one of the racing highlights of the night for me when he chased down T-Mac and gave a him a massive shove from behind to get his attention.

Duane, well watch your videos and look for the tall guy everyone was smashing into and making comments to whenever they went past him. That's Duane!

I wouldn't have it any other way. That was one of the best nights out I've ever had!

I knew it would be a bunch of fun. Keep the stories coming. I enjoy reading them. The next one we'll make sure I get there. I'll ride with OSR. That will be quite a trip in itself. Add OSF and there will be even more wild stories, and I'm sure they'll all be true.

U bet bucko... I only speak truth (HA, dat' right there is a big lie).

I will find a way to change things around and get involved with the next Lil 500... and there's a Publix real close to my house, so I think I can find something there to bring (Heard they are coming out with some new SQUARE Sandwich soon).

I'll bring my own helmet, don't like to loaners.... also gloves and fire suit... I am going to take this thing real serious... I want a bunch of those Gold Tickets (now I know how Bones beat everyone back to the pits to get his/others tickets - Hell, if that's the case, I'll even jump off my cart and run back just to get there first).

Sure sounds like everyone had a blast.... good race people are hard to find lol. Sounds like some might have been better off getting a hotel room close by - it looks like I wouldn't have gotten back to Tampa until daylight.

Now how could it be so quiet especially when Ed made it through without losing any fenders, bumpers, or anything else..

they build the go-karts quite a bit sturdier than Ed builds his cars. he should look to them for assembly tips.

i expect to see the 44 with a 1/2" rubber rub rail all the way around in the upcoming season...
