    Plus....

add the fact that the pit area is clean and grassy. Water and power is available for almost all the slabs. With the pit pass arm band you can venture over to the grandstand area for a bigger snack bar than he pit side.
Everything OSF said applies as well. Lighting on the track, from a drivers view, is GREAT.. Turn 1-2 is a little tighter than 3-4, but is still capable of 3 wide.
High banked and a big 1/3 mile(little bigger than Citrus, smaller than Ocala).

What else can I say. Great and friendly place to race.

RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.

      I agree

That’s a great little track with lots of friendly folks. That track has a good layout to it. It’s clean, well maintained and affordable. The lowest prices on fuel and food around. I had a blast racing there last season and was looking forward to coming back for 2010. When it opens back up, and I'm sure it will, I’ll be there.
      just wantin' ta race.....

Also, forgot, when the Copes bought the track, they installed new fencing around the ENTIRE track (the high fence with the curved top area to keep tires etc from going up and over the fence. The concrete walls are in great shape and Mike has always kept them painted up perfectly for each weeks race (as he did with all buildings etc).

The place used to be called the BULL RING years ago... I wasn't really impressed with the place and would only go there when Dickie Anderson and the Copes were racing there... there was a real bad HUMP in turn 4 (that is where the pit exit is), that HUMP deal was corrected when the Copes bought the place. They went over the entire place with a fine tooth comb and really transformed the place into a great racing facility (if not the best in the state, it would be a close second - but my money would be the best kept facility).
Thank a Police Officer for what they do........... OSF:

The year Mike bought it, he asked me to come and check it out when I was in Williston for the annual Pee Wee Mercer Benefit rodeo. They were repaving the track and putting up new stands when I got there and alot of love and work was put into that place. Bronson was a great little track and had the best bbq in the world in the pits. Always looked forward to going there just for that bbq.

Bob, you would be the perfect owner of Bronson and I know you would make her work. But money is hard for everyone right now. But I spent alot of nights at that "bull ring" for tour races and was always, always treated very good. I loved going there and I hate to think that it will just sit empty and no cars or fans.

I know that was your dream Bob, retire there and spend your time helping take care of the track. I love the double wide home there and Mike did a great job on making it very nice. If you or I should win the lottery, we will buy it, how is that. But first I have to win the lottery.

But if you don't support your local track, you may not have a local track and that is just the real facts to today's world. Tracks don't run on air for sure and have to make money to stay open.

Well Jane, if I ever win the lottery, I could buy the track as my second move...I promised one Michael Cope MANY MANY years ago that if I won the lottery, I'd put him into a cup car.... and I changed that promise a few years ago to Mike....I changed his name for Travis....so if I won the lottery, I'd first have to put Travis in a cup car and then come back and buy BRONSON INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY....

THEN, you and Alex could come up and live in the double wide... Alex could cut the "LAWN" like Travis has done over the years, I'd paint the back wall on Monday's, Tommy could run the place, you could write to your hearts content. We'd have concerts for the college kids...(that crazy music stuff) and we'd have Country Concerts for the neighbors...

And the BBQ guy would be back as would the beer sales (even tho I don't drink), but there would be a "Beer - Smoking Section", a play ground for the rug rats just like the "Ole Barrells" at Sunshine (ask Buggy Pletcher about them).

Now I have to go buy some more tickets.
Thank a Police Officer for what they do........... OSF:
