Edm, for the 1,000th time we bought that car with no motor. Anything that was possibly illegal we fixed. It was legal for all 13 wins. They dq'ed me for having the cross memeber notched to give some fuel pump clearance. It was only notched for safety. The motor was in the stock location.

I know that if you run some of the better fuel pumps available you will for sure want to notch the cross member for safety.

how some of the parts from the motor out of one of the cars was partially obliterated by a hammer during the process

            wait, wut?

            who destroyed the part?

were they just trying to get it out of the motor and didn't have proper tools or what?

yes, but its a SUPER STOCK, you don't need that expensive stuff. You also want to notch the cross member to slide the motor back and use the expensive fuel pump as a distraction or reason for notching the cross member.

Nothing distracts the tranny cross memeber being in the stock location nor does anything distract the driveshaft being stock length

Ohh duh dumb shit.... The only reason that you bloody well notch the crossmember is to lower and pull back the motor... You be trying to bullshi!% the wrong crowd...

Nothing personal, but don't defend things that we all know as horse pucky...

No I do not own the 86 car... I do work on several cars and with several people... And if anyone else around me at the track or at home needs help, I try my damndest to make sure that I am there... My car is sitting at home because I cannot afford to run it without causing undue stress to my already burdened financial situation... In other words, I be broke... LOL... So instead of racing this year I work on and help others who are able too...

And yes I am at the track every week... No matter who and/or what is running... Because no matter what, if we don't support short track racing, we may end up losing it... One of the biggest things I have been squawking about has been consistency in tech... No matter what it is and no matter who it is... If it just so happens that a car that I am working on or deal with has a tech problem, oh well. At least the tech is on the straight and narrow and the situation is dealt with... As I have stated before, all of us in racing have pushed and/or exceeded the rules at one time or another... That is a fact of life...

                        Remember

                        Go fast... Turn Left....

                        Have a great day all....
