Explanation

Concerning the recent Super Stock engine teardown at N.S.S. 09/19/2009. The crankshaft in the 01 – SS is a Scat cast stock replacement crank – it was determined to be too light to pass tech, also not a GM item – it was balanced and installed mid - July to repair a broken engine. After it was balanced I neglected to scale it to confirm the 52lb. minimum which is required. The crankshaft also did not have a GM casting or forging # number on it, which is also required to pass tech.
Driver Scott Smith was not aware of ANY of this information as its my job to oversee these things. The fault is completely mine. I do apologize to any and all persons that this negatively affected. Lastly, the staff and tech at N.S.S. did their job in a very professional manner. Any further questions please call and I will try to go into further detail and explain any aspects that I may not have covered in the letter.

Class act??? Ha ha ha ha, lol lol lol. That was a costly mistake. Usually a good engine builder will build an engine from a rule book. The 01 got what he deserved. No there is no more cheaters since the 211 and 01 and 51 have been found. Way to go Scott. Maybe next time keep your mouth shut!!!

Scott Smith and what really happened

Jarrett Korpi raced his ass off and anyone that was there will tell you that for the last five laps he gave everything he had and deserved the win. Then Smith protested a 17 year old that won one race all year. Wow what a big threat I mean its not like even with lossing points for cheating anyone will catch him in the points. But if it makes him feel like more of a man for trying to destroy a car that this kid has worked his off in making then congradulations because just makes you look sad. When Korpi was in the 4b he didnt pose any threat and then when his father and him made a brand new car he becomes a huge threat please he was 19 in the points before last night he had no chance of winning and for the person who said now all the cheaters are gone think again. In any race there are always going to be people that others call cheaters but at the end of the day every class has them and always will so before you go casting stones cast them all or not at all. Hope every one is ready for what will come next week.

I don't have a dog in this fight but...I absolutely hate when someone refers to a young drivers age, as if Scott should feel bad for protesting a kid. Its dose not matter if the driver 15,16,17, or hell 89 years old man or woman bottom line its just another competitor, I Scott felt like he was illegal, then protest. Scott also got dq'd for something on his car, big deal. If Jeff and Guy look hard enough hardly no car would pass tech. Again...No dog in this fight, just thought I would type what I was thinking

I read hired guns post and did not see any indication that he said what you are questioning. He said no matter what the age,if you feel something is not legal,then protest it.
And your previous post was that of a bench warmer who makes frequent trips to the beer hut and the toilet. Take up another sport to comment on,like tennis and that Williams broad. She has your kind of mouth.

They need to get the 56 and his big motor and then the class should be pretty good off.

and Jon didn't use the rule book and he owned up to it.

he didn't make excuses, he flat out said he was at fault. that is the very definition of class.
