    Shoot!

Maybe VCS could show some "give" and only run qualifying races for the other classes on fri.night. Then, qualify the lates on time only sat. If there's over 30 cars, run a last chance race for slower cars or late arrivals. This would allow the cars that are torn up on fri. at Ocala a chance to fix their stuff on sat. and RACE. I really like the swap meet idea on sat., otherwise I was gonna take Jerry to lil 500 and show him how to get around that place! JK Jerry, I've never been there but heard you were DA MAN! Talk to you soon.

I believe you Jane. I think Jim hit the nail on the head with his explanation. I really hope that Volusia contacts Ocala and rectifies this before it gets out of hand and the Florida dirt tracks end up in the same situation as some of the asphalt tracks.
I hope it's worked out cause I don't want to be in the middle of a war. I like both tracks and want to see both do well. They could if they worked together along with Eastbay and NFS.

I'm not blaming you, Jane. I blame Volusia for the sucker punch to OCALA's night. Well, Mike Peters shook it off and threw a return punch, so it looks like the fight is on unless somebody backs down. And you'll notice that even though Mike hits back hard, he never touched Volusia's Saturday night. He's got more class than that.

Come on guys. This is an easy fix. Listen to RSB. He hit the nail on the head. Volusia, run all qualifying except the LM's on Friday, then let them run a couple of qualifying races Saturday and the Feature. You are not only hurting the tracks with this kind of behavior, but the fans, and drivers. Ocala, you could also help by running the LM's a little earlier, so they can get some rest and their cars fixed before Saturday's race at Volusia. Play nice. It will help everyone concerned. billy

Mike Peters and I have been in conversation and will continue, as we have in the past, to support each other the very best we can. Each track has specific circumstances that we will do our best to respect. We have done well this year to support our larger events and are planning on the biggest Late Model weekend of the year at our tracks on October 23 and 24 with the UDLMCS Fall Nationals. Stay tuned for more as the weekend of October 9 and 10 becomes the prelude to the Fall Nationals with Late Model action and October fun at BOTH tracks.

No problem. Mike gave me a call a few minutes ago and filled me in on what's up, so I'm satisfied if he is. And you are right, the weekend of the 23rd and 24th is gonna be awesome!
