  • unsportsmanlike conduct question?

Someone tell me where you can dump a driver on the last lap purposely then the next race physically attack them at a drivers meeting, i mean 3 to 4 punches thrown and the cops do nothing and still start on the pole for the race then get dumped by the same guy you dumped the race before but get your spot back and win the race?????

          Brings back memories

Was it an orange car from Orlando? Sounds like old times.

            Ya Hoo

Wish I had been there.... like the above post said...."BRINGS BACK MEMORIES".

That's the stuff that puts butts in the seats... follow the leader gets old, starting the fastest cars up front gets old.

Stir it up... make it exciting....bend some fenders, slap some heads - this ain't basket weaving....Get down and dirty.....YA HOO.

This is one little track that could become another Sunshine with little effort.

Put on a show for the fans, then everyone go get drunk together (just like the OLE SHOWBOAT)

The last time I was there was during the BIG FIGURE EIGHT stuff - and it was boring as hell. Looked like they were afraid to scrap their paint.

It was not an orange car from Oralndo. It was a silver car in the late models. The punches thrown in the tech area was uncalled for. The driver who spun out the leader of last nights race was the one who had punches thrown at him before the race. He was therefore blacked flag during the race after he spun the leader. The leader of the race was the guy who threw the punches before the late model race even started. Why wasn't he blacked flag before the race for "unsportsmanlike conduct"

                I am Confused (I Think)

I might have this right... the punches thrown were in the pits (Right?)

You are wondering why the "PUNCHER" wasn't blackflaged before the feature (Right?)

I've been around racing for a just a "Few" years and I don't think I have ever seen someone getting the BLACK FLAG for something that didn't happen ON the track... Correct me if I am wrong, but they don't use flags in the pits - they use the cops, the exit gate, the management or some big guy with a grudge on life, but no flags.

SOOOOoooooo, if it wasn't dealt with when it happen IN THE PITS it is race time ON THE TRACK and lets go racing.

One other small question - "Did You Have a Horse in This Race" or are you just a bystander with a simple conceren?

Good reply! Last night at Hendry County I didn't notice the cops using flags. I saw some "hands on escorting" going on. Great way to handle the idiots! Some people should just stay home!!!!!

Yes the punches were thrown in the pits before the race. I know they don,t use flags in the pits. If the driver is blacked flaged for unsportsmanlike conduct on the track and is unable to race anymore that night then what do you call throwing punches at a driver in the pits before a race.

I did have a have a horse in the race.

all i can say is that Mr. Anderson will get his thats for sure

For a track that has a history of "tazing" drivers it blew my mind that Wayne was still allowed to race after he attacked the 21. But i guess you cant forget where this happened good ol Adale ran by Wayne wait i mean Jeff o no i mean Rex Guy.

Your right, you cant throw a blag flag in the pits but you can be asked to leave and you can be arrested for what happened. Ive seen less happen and people have been cuffed and escorted out. But none of this matters if your last name is Anderson.

And the leader always being protected bs is crap. just let the boys race and it will work itsself out. Now if your leading all you have to do is brake check 2nd spin yourself out and you just sent the 2nd place guy to the rear and your still leading. As well last i check if your to the guys left rear tire you pretty much got postion on em, if they choose to come down and spin there self out then thats just racing. i know it aint nascar but there blag flag policy seems to work pretty well.

3 more cars lost good job Mr. Guy

Personally, if anyone was punched repeatedly in the pits at anytime, I would certainly hope that the track officials and security would handle the situation and at the least escort the offender out. Sometimes victims refuse to press charges, but that is no reason to allow violence. In my opinion, there should be zero tolerance for any physical violence regardless of the situation.

That said, I hear that last night at Putnam a track official was beaten up in what was described as a "riot" situation, and according to the story there were no arrests. An account of the Putnam incident was posted on the Putnam message board, which I fully expect to be deleted if it has not been already. So now we have people beating up race officials and "riots" after racing. We certainly know how to create excitement here in Florida, don't we?

Yea nothing happened other than the officer saying the driver of the 21 had 5 minutes to press charges and as that time ran out he was no where to be found and once he was found he still wouldnt do anything other than telling the driver of the 21 to calm down. Funny thing he was calm as can be he never once retailated at all he walked away and got in his car for a scuff session.

Thats ok, they have opened a big can a worms they might not be able to close back if you know what i mean.

thats crazy to hear that about Putnam but its not suprising to hear. usually the officials get all the heat when there just the messenger and they dont even make the call. people have to try and think and go straight the source of there problem to get anything accomplished and fighting still isnt the way to get it done.
