Hell no I wouldn't have, but then again I am sitting on my fat ass, not racing 200mph. haha But you are 100% right the second block attempt was what caused it he still has to learn the big picture to be a complete driver. By the way you may have heard me earlier in the race... First I was yelling because David Reutimann was caught up in the first big one but then my anger turned to joy as I seen he was the one that took out Jr. That made my night.

My wife and I ate lunch with my brother and his wife today and they were in the 2nd row right behind where Kyle hit the wall. My sister-in-law Had a little baggy with some fiberglass pieces from Kyles car. Dan said they felt a rush then a vaccum when Kyle hit. A replay I saw tody on the speed Channel looked like Kyle might have gotten a little loose and went up th track some just when tony was starting around on the outside. Kyle was struggleing with his car. That close to a cup win I don't know if any of us could have backed off and settled for 2nd. Bob...

Kyle was trying to block , a practice i don't agree with but one that has existed forever in every level of racing , and he just cut it too close . But more to the point , Kyle was following directions from his spotters ( Daytona and all big tracks mean more than one spotter per car ) and thats because these cars are impossible to see out of . The roof line , the rear pillar , the seat design , the rear wing make it impossible for a driver to run his own race . And thats been the case for some time . I'm not sure that relying on the eyesight , coordination , and smarts of someone a quarter of a mile away with binoculars is the best way to make moves , where inches count and lives of drivers and fans are at stake . The design of the cars needs to be reconsidered and changed to give drivers as much all around view as the government mandates for all passenger cars . Why not rear view mirors on both sides of the car faired into the pillars ? Get rid of that dumb wing and allow the drivers to see out the back . Decrease the size of the rear pillars by 80% so there is more vision out the side . Can't eliminate the side protection on the seats just yet , but that design is open for more development . That puts racing back into the hands of the driver .
