  • Did I Hear Cheering in Tampa?

I think I heard a bunch of cheering all the way over here in Tampa on that Daytona finish.
Can't believe its 130 am and no one put anything on here about the finish. After the race, I went out for a cycle ride/coffee and really thought there would be some good stuff on here.

I bumped my head on the ceiling in the media room when KB blocked for the second time (and it didn't quite work for him). NOTE: Head OK, Ceiling to be repaired soon.

    LOVE THOSE DOUBLE FILE RESTARTS.....

Enjoyed the race (with the exception of K Petty and all his experience giving input - But he did come from good stock)

      BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I don't know about the cheering you heard coming from DIS but the cheering you heard coming from west of you was me over here in Palm Harbor.

BTW, since you started me on the habit of doing the patented KB bow when the shrub wrecks, what is protocol with that anyway for us anti-whiner fans? Do you bow first then cheer or visa-versa?

I jumped up and cheered first then the bow. Is that the correct sequence?

Of course then came the typical snatch my arms away and the pissy fit when the officials tried to get him into the ambulance for the mandatory check at the infield hospital.

      Awwwwwwww....him was maaaaaad. Sniff...sniff.

I am a Kyle Busch fan and I also dislike Tony Stewart however I know that Tony did nothing wrong there. I think Kyle forgot the Carl Edwards wreck at Tally and just how quick a car gets up beside you once they pull out. If Kyle had just waited just another second and let Tony get up to his door then he could have pushed him high without spinning and Kyle may have held on for the win.

I'm not a fan of either one but Tony blocks too, remember in Feb. in the Nationwide race. I just hope he doesn't show his tail when someone stuffs him in the wall.

its nascar, thats what superspeedway racing hah become its all about blocking. you blok you get walled and half the field gets taken out and the fans go wild. they need to get rid of the spec bodies restrictorplates ,let fords be fords and toyota be toyota(toyota should run dohc v6) and chevys be chevys and go back to real racing.

I quit fishing because there was no one handing out money at the docks when i got back. Why did you quit racing?

                    Bow/Cheer or Cheer/Bow

There IS a correct way to do it, It would have been WAY better if I had tried to do the BOW on the way UP to do the CHEER (that might have allowed more room between my head and the ceiling). I think I was so excited doing the CHEER, I forgot to do the BOW and them BOOM - OSF "0"/Ceiling "1".

Even if cry boy held his line and let Tony go, the worse it would have been is 2nd place. I don't think the boy is old enough to have seen some of the blocking from back in the day (coming to the line).

I don't think he heard "WIN IT or WRECK IT"... second would have been better than wrecking (just ask him now)

That hollerin you heard wasnt from tampa... it was from port charlotte!!!
                      YAHOOOOOOOOOOO!
would any driver have done it any different? tony didnt do anything wrong. kyle was acting desperate. he is a heck of a racer but he has alot of years before he will have the patience and knowledge of TONY STEWART! he is immature and it took Tony alot of years to mature. HE MADE IT! Kurt was arrogant too... he matured. maybe someday kyle will . HAHAHAHAHA NOT!
BTW... what a way for bobby to enjoy his first live NASCAR race! his hero won! he was in the first row on tier 2 in back of the flagstand. it doesnt get any better! we scream in our house so i know what he was doing...lol what a dramatic finish! i did feel bad for Kasey tho...

Dale SR. got killed doing the same move for third. Do you not expect a driver to do it for the win?

You are nuts man. It isn't like he could turn his head to see how far up Tony was on him. All Kyle was doing was reacting to what he could see in his little mirror and what his spotter was saying. It is easy to say NO when you are watching it in super slow motion replays.

                              OK, you win!

But it didn't work did real well, did it?

After the first block, he (your buddy) should have held fast and settled for a second place finish (that is IF Tony wasn't able to complete a pass on the outside).

Guess you would have done the same thing as cry boy and most likely would have gotten the same results (can you say W R E C K E D C A R)

I LOVED that finish... just glad no one was hurt.
