Does anyone know how much to buy Desoto Super Speedway?

Anyone who knows John , knows that his giant ego would never allow someone else to come in and possibly make a success of the track . He would rather , in fact he would prefer , to sell the track and have it bulldozed instead of running the risk that a new owner would make him look bad .

Very similar scenario to the sale of Sunshine Speedway . I've heard that a clause in the contract said that Sunshine could never be used as a race track again after being sold . That clause was supposedly put in by Frank and Bonnie . Didn't want someone else taking over and doing a better job than they did .

And i would imagine that John plans to be invested in any development that goes in there as part of his deal to sell . Hence , he would like to see it developed .

two things wrong with that idea 1 the roundy round and the dragstrip is 1 and 2 the clause in johns contract when he bought the track if it is not used for anything other than a race track the property revrts back to the owner before john

that sucks!!! i hope it dont get shut down... i dont race there or even go there anymore, but really liked it when i did go. hopfully somthing good will come of it.

With the depressed real estate market (especially the Sarasota area), I would not expect investors or developers to plunk down 4 million anytime soon. Plus, the real estate agent has posted it on Ebay?
