Got to saunter over to see the guys in turn two... got a cold, yet very good pork chop before I had to head back, then ran into Jerry carrying his "prizes" back and even got to say hi to him...
The reason it takes very little time to get races started/restarted at VSP is the use of the RaceCeiver radios... It is so much easier to tell the driver where they are in the line-up rather than wave a finger or point a flag at them... They are also a great safety innovation... The drivers instantly know a caution or red flag is out and where on the track the problem is... Also if they have a problem like a flat or dragging bodywork...
VSP was the place to be... Can you believe? They had 34 Late Models (actually less than expected) - New Smyrna had 33 cars total in the pits! Why is that so? Is it really cheaper to go dirt track racing?

Not guessing on number of cars for Thursday but will be there to write the story for karnac. So, if you want to meet the mean lady from karnac, let me know where you will be and I will try and find you. Don't know yet where I will write from, maybe the upper pit grandstands. Still kindof hard to go to the tower for me without Ms. Peggy there.

      See ya Thursday.

no, the reason it takes so little time to get the races started is because they have the cars lined up in proper order in the pit lane before they even hit the track.

If they have 10 or 40 superlates I'm still going to race I still enjoy watching asphalt but it would be nice to see more cars and to race against more cars. Let me know who's going and where your planning on sitting.
