In 1995 I won a race at Volusia, and shared victory lane with a lovely young trophy babe. Even after 14 years, my wife still hates those pictures!

Lets make the rest of 2009 the "Year of the Trophy Girl".

Sorry to get this thread so far off track, but boys will be boys.

2 years ago at the Powell it was black all aroung the track and it was even raining in the parking lot...but not a drop on the track or bleachers... but if you dont like the weather in florida...wait a minute! columbus took a chance... dont take the chance of missing this race. it is more than well worth it....

            Don't always believe the weatherman

I live about 6-7 miles in a straight line east/southeast from the race track. Today it was 80% chance of rain and 60% chance of rain tonight according to the local forecast on the Weather Channel. We didn't get any rain here til about 6:15 and it only lasted about 5 minutes. I'm not saying it didn't rain at the track today. Only posting what we got here. Bottom line, YOU can't live your life around the weather forecast in this state. Plus this is probably one of the biggest races in the Southeast. If there is any chance to get this race ran tomorrow night, then it will happen.

I talked to Mike Peters this morning and he assured me that he will do EVERYTHING in his power to be sure that this race happens! The track was in prime shape today and got only a little rain, and Mike and the crew will be on it first thing in the morning, packing it in and waiting on nature to do her thing. And if she does throw some water at us, we plan to have about 50 late models to walk it in! THINK POSITIVE and get yourself to beautiful down town Zuber!

Don't know if he does dirt? Come on man were you been? He has more hours maintaining the dirt than I do. It was dirt while they owned the place.
The last time I saw James was at NSS. Had a brain fart about the dirt drivin'.
Have not seen much dirt racin' from WERE I was workin'. Hope to see the races tomorrow night though.

I've been to quite a few Sunbelt Series races at Ocala over the years and a good many of them I stared at black clouds everywhere around us and it never rained. Hopefully tomorrow will be one of those nights since every time I clear my calendar to go to Ocala it gets rained out and I'm sick of it.
