      Missing ????

I don't see James Powell on the list. Don't know if he does dirt though.
Has Wayne Anderson gone back to that asphalt stuff

I read a story that said Kevin Durden traded Wayne Anderson an Asphalt Super for a Dirt Super, not sure how many Dirt Super's Wayne had but if only the one then yes he has gone back to "That Asphalt Stuff" LOL

Wayne still has a dirt late model. He's waiting to get some updates put on it, so no, he won't be at the Powell Memorial unfortunately. Last time I talked to him about it, he was thinking about running some dirt races at Volusia in the coming months.

Don't know if he does dirt? Come on man were you been? He has more hours maintaining the dirt than I do. It was dirt while they owned the place.

                  would be nice if....

BJ.... why dont you do a story about the POWELL history of Ocala... its pretty interesting. alot of people dont know anything about the Powells prior to the tragedy.....James is one heck of a racer and tho i understand why he isnt racing, i miss seeing him. Kim and Saige are his top priorities and thats as it should be. he has been blessed with a new family and he has once again found happiness.
i pray for the safety of all those fantastic drivers. holy smokes...thats an awesome list!!!! good to see Cousin Kevin on there with Patrick. have a wonderful and safe race you guys!!!!
i cant make it this year. have alot of family things going on. for one, my mother is in the hospital and her chances of coming out are slim....she is 83 so she has had a nice long life tho it wasnt a very happy one... i just pray she dies in her sleep and doesnt feel anything...she is having a series of strokes..i did not live with her after i turned 6 and only saw her a few times during my life but she is still my mother so there is a sense of emptiness but not that God aweful pain when you lose someone close... so please just pray she goes peacefully.. thanks and all of you have a wonderful, fun weekend. Angie and Mike....hope its another packed event.... God knows you have enough cars... hahaha

James did the dirt quite well and sometimes got pretty dirty doing it... Picture from Volusia in 1988...
I saw him win a lot of races on both surfaces including the Governor's Cup at NSS, but my favorite was a Florida Pro Race at Speedworld... By the end of the race, there was so much left over speedy dry in the upper groove that James just got up there and "rode the cushion" around everybody to take the win...

                      What's plan B?

Because the forecast doesn't look good.

Hang tight Alaska. Last week we had a 60% chance as well and never got a drop.

I still have fond memories of watching James in the #37 late model that Reutimann used to drive as well. James was always a rocket in that car at NSS.

I'd just like to see racing in this state get back to having smoking hot chicks in bathing suits in victory lane.

www.FloridaSprintCarFans.com - because Florida sprint car racing needs all the help it can get...

I gotta agree with Tripper. The Dick Murphy formula of victory lane has been missed !

Yeah, smoking hot babes with teeth. I know they are rare, mostly nuns but there are some still out there.
